So some friends in WoW think that in The Last Titan, Azeroth will blow up and/or crack open like Argus.
I tell them it’s not going to do that because Player Housing.
Blizzard would be dumb to give us evergreen content for one expansion then completely destroy it the next.
And yes Garrisons were forgotten about, but not destroyed.

This has been talked about since it was discovered what Azeroth truly was.
Some think, like your friend, the Egg theory is right.
I am partial to the Reshaping theory. The emergence of Azeroth is going to change the planet, but not destroy it.
Think Cataclysm but less…cataclysmic.
Also, the Legion broke Argus the planet. Argus The World Soul emerging did not break the planet.

Then what happens to player housing if Azeroth blows up?
Reshaping might make the most sense, as you said
Well, thats explore that idea.
Lets say Azeroth, and all her wonderful zones, get eating by Dimensius or otherwise gets blown up. We would move to another planet. Refugees, like the space goats. WoW would continue as is, player housing would happen, just on another planet.
We could go to Draenor now that the Legion threat is dealt with. There are several other planets in lore that could serve as home.
Nothing…your house will be fine.

They change their minds all the time.
I think theres a chance that they have another ‘sundering’ or something similar to kind of reset the world.
Having 12 xpacs worth of content available where everyone ignores the first 11 xpacs isn’t good game design.
I can see them sundering away all of the deserted content and condensing players into one world rather than scattering them across 12.

That would be the tiny elite seasonal esports lobby game they’ve always wished they could turn WoW into.
Ah cmon. We all know what ever happens after last titan it will involve some alternate timeline
Pretty sure The Last Titan will simply emerge from a crystal cocoon or something like that and be a tall Human or Elf but with yellow glowing eyes or what ever.
So I don’t think the world has to break in half for Azeroth to hatch. It’d be nice if it did, but it won’t happen.
Now that I think about it, in WoW, in order to be a god or VIP you just need 3 things.
- Be Tall
- Glowing eyes
- Fancy clothing
That’s it.
