And then what? She becomes a spirit and Pelagos sentences her somewhere other than the Maw because he’s abolishing the Maw?
Revendreth, most likely. She might even find her little pet Nathanos there.
Speaking of which…
No, she becomes enslaved again by the jailer after she helps him out… thus causing her to be enslaved twice in her existence, once by arthas, and again by the jailer… later on, when you kill that guy her soul is released, and you can do some type of redemption arc then. But she needed to die. Literally everyone wanted to kill her, but the pulled the reigns so hard to a cardboard villain no one cared about.
Uh… no it didn’t. LOL what?
You enjoy making stuff up.
No one ever said this.
If you came back for the story then u should prob unsub again. No hate but i dojt expect midnight to deliver anything solid.
Im going to play purely for the harronir, amani zones, and to collect any troll transmog or housing items. While also pvping.
idk, I think ‘go to Hell for eternity (probably less since I’m sure she’ll show up in Midnight somehow but yknow) until every single soul that has ever been sent there is found and brought to the Arbiter’ is a bigger punishment than ‘go to Revendreth and be lectured by vampires until you feel bad (which you already do because your two soul halves were merged)’
you must not have been near the forums around that time, they absolutely were, DF is canon ‘great’ as far as the groupthink goes.
He’s a trinket sylvanas drops off her boss fight btw. Implying he pissed her off enough shes been keeping his soul on her to torment for entertainments since bfa’s end.
It’s not a terrible punishment, but the whole cutscene just lacked the vengeful justice that was drummed up beforehand. She didn’t even lay a scratch on her, after holding her glaive to her neck and nearly cutting her throat in another cutscene, after abandoning everything to become vengeance incarnate. Not even a scratch? It was extremely anti-climatic, and I wouldn’t be saying any of this if it wasn’t built up.
I am interested to see how Sylvanas returns (because we all know she will) and how the experience in the Maw will have shaped her character moving forward. I hope they don’t butcher it.
She’ll be some savior figure from the shadowlands, like an emissary or something, similar to what the jailer was except it’s her now, she handles all the souls in the maw… or some dumb nonsense like that.
Her job is to ensure there arent any souls in the Maw. I swear half of people’s complaints about Shadowlands would be addressed if people actually paid attention.
bro, i know that, but i also know this writing team… she will be some kind of hero of the shadowlands, some sort of important figure, and it will be complete nonsense.
Meanwhile,
The night elves still don’t have a starting city anymore, they’re homeless… and the horde is now ruled by a council of friendship rather than a warchief as it should be.
Yet they overlook BOTH of these problems to tell us a story about dragons and the world soul.
They have Bel’ameth now. Although it is interesting that the starting zone experience wasn’t changed to reflect Teldrassil being BBQ’d lmao.
Try using crest and a toothbrush.
that’s what I am saying, they could make exile reach but they couldn’t be bothered to give the Night elves a new starting zone? priorities are messed up
So the writing team that is supposedly led by everyone’s former favorite Blizz employee Chris Metzen and no longer includes everyone’s scapegoat Steve Danuser?
I was and I don’t understand the mindset of believing bastardized wow is great. It was a meh expansion with a cringe final cinematic thats comparable to cataclysms.
Best way I could put it it was Super safe and felt off. I don’t really know what it is exactly its just wow since Legion has felt… Like its lost focus and jumped the shark.
SL was during covid and had trouble where other companies seemed to flourish. SL definitely felt like WoD 2 with long patches and tons of potential cut and removed.
DF was fun dont get me wrong, the raids were good its just something about it feels like Im just playing a game trying to pose as wow.
No no the taste is gut deep take some castor oil and magnesium citrate.
Metzen was given a pile of ISH and told to polish it to make it pretty… no matter how much you polish ISH its still ISH…
I am playing Diablo 4 now, after ignoring it for a long time despite owning it. I am getting the constant pop-up messages about Reliquaries to try and instantiate FOMO and promote me buying the Battle Pass.
That level of intrusive selling is what World of Warcraft is attempting to cultivate in Retail. The $100 Brutosaur was my final nail in the coffin. The Trading Post and Early Access comments on accelerated expansion timelines are constant reminders that there is no new value in playing Blizzard products.
Indie games are the future and have been for a while.
