Playing what you enjoy or playing FOTM is not the answer.

Weird take. It’s pretty well known if you ask anyone that people don’t enjoy the click bait and reaction face videos, the only reason it’s even popular in the youtube scene is because of kids but kids aren’t going to be watching a rank 1s video on wow arena as much as adults are.
play what you enjoy… if you enjoy loosing , if you enjoy not being able to compete … there many specs and class right now that are obsolete and useless.
I play 1900 to 2100 on various toon every season I’m not an elite but I can defiantly outplay anything 1500.
Right now playing enhancement i’ve got to 1800 and it was dam hard because every match there a DH that will do twice your damage.
So no , don’t play what you like , play the meta or get reckt
but nobody knows what meta will be in DF… You really leveling 8 toons to chose from one?
I thought the part about Ret’s being biased about damage profiles, and trying to pretend to not be brokenly OP, to be hilarious.
Venruki ALWAYS does the same thing with mages, so does Xaryu. They toss out some minor defensive thing that is slightly to strong as a bait to seem like they are asking for nerfs, and then immediately claim their spec is weak and needs more damage. No matter how broken the damage already is (S4 BFA gpyro spam, cough) they still claim it sucks.

Most of these rank 1 players do. It’s honestly why I think most of them just aren’t worth listening to, there’s a huge difference between being good at the game and discussing the game in a healthy way.
Most of these guys just release bad clickbait content while pretending like their class is 2 tiers weaker than it is and act like the thing they hate queing against is massively broken and needs nerfs. It creates such a bad perception in the community and isn’t good for the game.

Not really. It’s not amazing but it’s not absolute garbage, it’s pretty much balanced damage wise. Now it just needs it’s survivability and 50 safety nets removed.
the sheer amount of stuff arcane can do is pretty ludicrous and its damage is fine.

This advice that you should play what you like because its the only way to hit CR goals over time gets thrown in a lot as if s tier specs don’t carry people to 2400 and beyond every season. (SL warrior carried me and I barely played it)
Yea I think Warrior will be A tier after a few buffs. Calling it now it won’t stay in the dumpster.
Yeah those are so valid and accurate.
The class is good right now. Streamers just put anything that isn’t obviously broken in F tier for views because it’s better for engagement.
It works of course but it’s better for long term growth as a player to play what you like so you can actually focus on improving. I see tons of people who reroll every season and only manage to get glad once or twice and then they’re hardstuck 2200 and 2000 games deep into 3s.

I’m a little biased and not very good, but Ret being A tier was a head scratcher for me. What do other people who have been playing beta think of Ret?
I think it’s pretty fair personally. I don’t think it’s S tier since I honestly think S tier should only be for things that are insanely good in multiple scenarios. Ret just feels like it’s in the exact same spot it was in shadowlands, it’s going to have access to good comps and it’s strong but I wouldn’t say it’s on par with the S tier stuff like dh or aff lock.
