So my friend who hasn’t played since the very beginning of legion has recently returned to the game, he has hit max level (80) on 2 characters now.
The first problem he had was he wasn’t getting his weekly rewards from stuff like theatre troupe ect. I thought he was doing something wrong until i did it with him and he streamed it to me also he could not start the undermine questline as it just wasnt there. These problems were solved with the weekly reset thankfully.
but his most recent problem is not being able to que for timewalking? he does not have the option for it in his dungeon finder on any of his characters of any level.
Even when I am party leader and we que for it then it does a role check and it does not show up on his screen to select a role. eventually it just times out as he doesnt select a role. I have played for many years and gone over everything with him on stream ect and I cant work out the issue.
has anyone got suggestions?
That happens when you boost a recent toon, i think you have to wait 24 hours

Yeah I saw this when researching but this is all happening on characters who weren’t boosted and its been over 24 hours
Log out, close the client, relaunch and log back in, he may need to finish the campaign if he hasn’t.

I dont think he need the campaign since you can Q for time talking at lvl 11
Did your friend actually finish the main story campaign within each zone, or did he blast his way to level 80 and ignore it? In previous expansions that generally wasn’t too much of an issue, but since at least Shadowlands finishing the campaign on at least one character has pretty much been a hard requirement as several features are locked behind doing that at least once.
It may or may not be the issue, but it’s honestly the only thing that comes to mind for me.

Can you provide a screencap of what his queue screen looks like when he tries to queue? Just in case we are missing something obvious.
You can upload a picture to somewhere like imgur and then put the link of the image page in the comment using the little </> option in the format line.
