Rets in RSS in the Past 24 Hours

Finally ret is good for once.

I can’t tell if this is hilarious or cringe.

This is patently not true. Vanguards was already around 3400 before the rework.

not a chance

he’s sat 3150 or w/e for over a month now and after 24 hours on the new patch he’s 3490 CR

i also won’t fail to mention his 3s rating would be abysmally low pre-buffs if he wasn’t bug abusing

Am not sure this means much, given how many people sat ret I would have expected even more participation / ret gains

Unrelated ret feels completely broken and I’m not q’ing until significantly nerfed

what balance team lol?

I play at that MMR in Shuffle. I promise there were already rets queueing and up there before the rework happened.

not a chance. before as in 2 months before the rework, sure

vanguards was one of the highest rated players, then he stopped queueing shuffle and had sat it since

what’s the blind defense for anyway? everyone half decent at the game knows ret was complete trash tier and this sudden surge in both ret’s popularity & success s isn’t solely because of a rework

I sincerely hope this was a typo.

Anyway, I’m glad ret got a rework. It needed it. That doesn’t mean it isn’t overtuned at the moment, though.

lol?

you can rework a class and not have it be completely asinine in terms of tuning

so you’re agreeing with me on the ‘isn’t’ thing?

Ive been enjoying the comedy of it all… Forums were filled with “Nerf Hunter Nerf Hunter”

and Blizz was like “Hold my Beer I got you wow community”

I think you just need practice communicating clearly in writing. If you have any kind of cogent point, it’s not at all clear. You mostly just come across as trolling.

I started a ret from 0 eating. Even if you lose most of your games you still climb. That’s probably what’s happening here. New players trying new role and gaining. It will balance out.

i think you should learn to read

you’re blatantly lying to try and downplay how retarded the spec is right now

then you brought up a typo, that in the same post you agreed with whether you realize it or not LOL

my point is pretty clear

As far as I can tell, your point is narrowly dependent on a specific interpretation of the word “solely.” Your prior comment was to point out that Vanguards sat a low RSS rating and that his 3s rating should also be low. Therefore, you come across as defending the current strength of ret. I write for a living, so I don’t think I’m the one with reading comprehension issues.

Meanwhile, in case it wasn’t already crystal clear, I’m not defending ret. I’m being realistic. A lot of rets are claiming that they had no path to success in PvP prior to the rework, which simply isn’t true, but that doesn’t mean the gameplay that enabled them to succeed was healthy for the game or fun for the player.

Ret is obviously stronger post-rework, and the data appears to show it, but my point is that it’s not like it was a completely useless spec in 10.0.5.

Not denying Ret is probably overtuned right now, but to be fair wouldn’t this phenomenon happen with any reroll situation? I think it’s more of a matter of popularity/hysteria and would level off eventually? The same thing happens in other games with reworks or a new feature/character. There are just more Rets in the ladder now…so that specific piece of data is what I would be more interested in seeing. The amount of new and/or active Rets, vs just them climbing.

If anyone stopped playing their main toon and flopped to another specific spec en masse, we would probably see something similar. This could have easily been observed with something like affliction but the hype isn’t there right now.

In a reroll situation, I don’t think we’d see nearly every single person shoot up hundreds of rating with very impressive win-loss ratios.

DH were nerfed 2weeks into DF lol

Disable ret in pvp until it’s fixed so everyone can enjoy the game, and revert all rating to 10.0.7 patch day.

I wish :sob:. I’m tired of these sweeping changes every week and having to learn a new game.
