Agreed, but wow! All the jaded attitudes this weekend! Lol too much family, shopping, and drinking? /joking
We are arguably already playing WoW 2.
If Blizz did a significant UI update and handed the game to a person from 2008, that person would think they’re playing WoW 2.
Eventually the remakes will exceed the new content and at that singularity Warcraft will collapse in itself and it will be a massive final expansion by which not even the light of a holy priest can escape as we are crushed into an infinitely dense Chorthia like zone under one server with no CRZ and by which those around us will age quickly, but we will remain gloriously young
That already happened during Cata.
lol.
Im not sure what the OP is saying…but you want to run off a huge # of players? Trash all the time and energy theyved devoted to this game and make a new one.
I’ll be first in the bandwagon heading out and taking my gaming $$$ with me.
I don’t know if you missed it but we’re already at WoW 10, WoW 2 was TBC
This I would agree with. Though I think most of the evolution was just that, changes over time that added QOL and graphical improvements, etc…but yeah, Retail is different enough from classic that I can enjoy retail.
Classic just isnt my bag.
Zero chance, but in reality we are actually in WoW 4. IMO TWW and beyond will continue the WoW 4 model unless something really crazy changes. No, the universal account bank doesn’t count.
After Overwatch 2, i sure hope not.
There isn’t any WoW 2.
It’s just WoW
The idea of forking after classic WoTLK and going down a completely different development path is interesting.
Slowly updating the old world graphics, while NOT doing a a full cata redesign, and working that into classic reset seasons would be one way to prepare for a WoW 2 without all the risk.
If there is a WoW 2 I would guess it will be start over. They might allow early purchasers to keep names or something like that, but I think it should be a new game.
No.
This has been explained before so I’m not doing it now. Just use the search function and look up explanations for it.
Its honestly wild watching people say things like “are they gonna make wow 2?!?”
Like…why on earth would they nuke their primary cash cow for a chance that players will buy into a WoW 2?
