Ret paladin is awesome!

Just wanted to put that out there. Never played one in TBC until now and am having a blast.

It’s enjoyable having a large toolkit! Try dabbling with Seal Twisting in Outland. You can only do this in TBC but if you like big number, there you go.

Have fun.

99% of the playerbase doesn’t care about arenas so this is an irrelevant downside.

Cuz it takes skill. Honour level retail poster talking about TBC PvP. PvE is far easier, that is why you do it and never do PvP.

I would bet my very soul that I’ve done many times over the amount of PVP you have in WoW alone, let alone in gaming in general. This account just didn’t see play since MoP until I spun it back up a couple months ago.

Classic PVP is just bad. Vanilla PVP is hot garbage in general and Blizzard left the Classic iterations of the expansions with arena to languish in unchanging metas. Every new Classic release has been worse than the last with regards to meta slavery, and it’s not like they were ever going to be truly quality PVP in the first place with the impact PVE gear has.

Classic arena is dead because it’s literally the worst option out there for competitive play, including within the scope of WoW itself where retail is miles ahead even with the crappy changes made in Midnight. PVE dominates Classic because that’s the only experience it offers that is worth playing for. The only people still clinging onto TBC/Wrath arena are nostalgia junkies.

No it’s because people like you have your super hyperactive ADHD sugar brains and need instant gratification in every aspect of life or you complain on the forums saying that you are mad because you spent over 5 minutes in a queue.

And then…

Even this Classic mage alt that has only 7 days 11 hours /played has more PvP progress done on it than you have on your entire retail account from all your toons combined And I got 2 R14 Classic pallies, I got this toon to R8, got R11 Classic toon, got an R9 Classic toon and the R14 shammy so yea. You are literally honour level 1 in retail with less than a weeks worth of actual PvP grinding done on your entire account.

wow pvp is terrible for one reason stunlocks and fears. not having control of your character because some rogue is chaining cool downs or getting hit with multiple full duration fears is just not fun. if they removed that the pvp would be much more fun and dynamic. stunlocks are just bad game design thats why very few modern games even give you the ability to do it

Yea and in arena play the rogues DRs will take effect before they can stunlock you to death. Even in Classic WoW where rogues are rated S tier for PvP that is only based on the 1v1 PvP but they get hard canceled by even an average hunter in level 60 PvP where they were rated top of S tier for all 1v1. Shams and a good Reckoning build paladin for non SoD reg level 60 PvP do pretty good. And in TBC PvP, holy paladins are better. Not until Wrath when rets become best. AND that was Wrath original. Wrath Classic rets were so much weaker cuz Blizz tried to balance everything.

I mean I spent all of Dragonflight sitting in 10-30 minute queues, so I’m pretty sure that’s not it.

Reading not your strong suit I see.

If only any of this meant anything. The Vanilla rank grind is utterly meaningless tedium, not skill, and that goes for every iteration of it. It barely qualifies as PVP.

ret during the wrath ptr was the most fun I had playing it we did an all ret pally black temple clear with the only not rets prot pallys we macroed the free heal to the tanks

found the tryhard, tbc pvp is a joke

Well I’m R14 in retail too. 3,190 rated was my best ever for BG PvP.

You’ve never done it before and you won’t do it now cuz you find it too difficult.

99% of the playerbase probably also doesn’t care about ret paladins, but so what?
