I mean they were not slaps on the wrist they nerfed multiple talents by 20 30 50% all season long.
And then in s3 onwards ret has only recieved buffs the most buffs it got came from last season because ret was in a sorry state again (for a spec going through two full reworks that is a clear sign of things gone wrong)
Please go back and read all the nerfs and come back with “slap on the wrist”
Sad story for the seasons they weren’t OP. Doesn’t mean they deserve to be OP. And that season it took them literal months to get them from unexaggeratedly God Tier best Spec in the history of WoW for PvP all the way to best spec this season.
I think Ret brain works like this, when they’re OP, they think they’re balanced. When they’re balanced they think they’re not viable. And this is because most Rets are probably 200-400 rating higher than they would be on any other class.
Are you admitting you lost to a destruction warlock as a ret?

Agree it should have been a flat 30% nerf to all ret damage.
You and this is exactly what they are doing this time. Why does ret get non sensical nerfs but some of the other specs get hammered.
If the devs made fair balancing for pvp this would never come up, but making LoH ignored dampening, giving them range, giving them spellwarding, and just outright removing forbearance balance is enough to start making someone think how many devs are playing ret enough that they are favory them.
Barely a slap on the wrist nerfs. There should have been more. This is just outright trolling the community when the side is nuts across all pvp content, especially rated.
What’s worst is that ret tier set for both hero tree are giving them much more that almost every other dps specs in pvp.
