Restrict Forum Avatar to Only One Per Account

Don’t care wow wasn’t in the scope of my post, I was referring to Overwatch and if they go with btags on the forums someone will abuse it.

Try posting questions about your Druid on your hunter. 3 people will accuse you of hiding your incompetence because they cannot see your Druid specs.

The forum is kind of designed for you to rotate between characters to keep their avatars up. If you stop using a character for too long the avatar disappears.

Or just use our Btag like other Blizzard game forums, that way all our post counts would be rolled into one.

so you want everyone to be posting on lvl 1 characters or representations that have 0 to do with the topics making it impossible to get feed back on?

Yet, literally every other blizz forum uses them. Last I checked, you can see the whole btag, including the number, just by mousing over their name or avatar/icon.

In fact, you can get anyone’s b-tag in-game just by sending them a b-tag friend request. The reason for this is that b-tags are not in any way private, nor are they meant to be. They’re specifically designed to be public by Blizzard.

While I disagree with the OP in having to post on a single character (ironically, I’m required to stick to Perl as a CS-MVP), I do feel that people should be able to switch characters and that the system should be moved to b-tags like all the other forums

I differ with this statement ,I sure did but to make it bad the person was on a different server and I couldn’t help them in a trade.

My blocklist is getting full from just lvl 55 DK alts from I’m 99% sure one person. So yes. Please, add a form to restrict the useage.

That is so true.

I agree we need some form of accountability to prevent discussions getting hijacked by bad actors but i am not convinced much will change in that regard. At this point anyone willing to talk to people have all left this forum for years.

Well it is already being abused on the Overwatch forums but that is a different game and very toxic .

Okay, but the thread is about WoW. :dracthyr_heart:

No one can abuse it. People have posted their Btags here constantly. No one got stalked, harassed, annoyed, etc.

There is no way to abuse it.

What are you going to do with my Btag “Thallia?” Seriously. LOL

Nope. This game is character dependent. It’s why we fought to keep that functionality in the first place. Btags under character names will work fine.

So like what I mentioned above?

Don’t we have a (somehow long-lasting) thread in a similar vein to this already?

I still advocate for a singular posting account tied to our Bnet, with the option to use Btag or char-server (or both) as a toggle, with Btag on by default! It’ll still let us use whatever avatar we want, while providing more privacy options as well as cutting down on the abuse of each character being treated as a ‘separate’ posting account.

Nice attempt at a rude jab, but the message was from Blizzard.
Never got those prior to them requiring the BNet app to use the authenticator.
So unless you go in and change the settings, yes, you will get “stalked” by Blizzard sending spam.

You should stop giving your stalker your time and money each month if that’s how you feel then. That’s a real petty comparison but okay.
