Restore paid Era transfers?

It would be really nice to get some sort of response from blizzard. Paid era transfers please. I want to go to a PvP realm

Can’t transfer from pve to pvp but can transfer from pvp to pve. Even if transfers were opened up you wouldn’t be able to go from a pve realm to a pvp realm.

Eliminate free transfers from low pop realms, where bots farm, transfer valuable goods to busy realms, and sell them there.

Like it or not, they have responded officially via a blue post in 2024.

They aren’t coming back.

Paid Services Down in Era

We realized that the character transfers are kind of meaningless in 1.15.X, since the Era realms are all connected and transfers aren’t enabled for the other realms, so they were almost entirely a money trap. In light of that, we removed them from the shop (except for the free transfers off of hardcore of course). The Lua error is a known issue that we’re working on.

I started to search for that the other day when Cezar used the “trap” terminology but got sidetracked. But now if Anniversary is its own “ecosystem” on their frankenserver tech, maybe this should be the time that paid transfers with restrictions makes a triumphant return.
