Restore Kael'thas' Voice Actor

True but if someone misuses or fakes a bad thing, let’s think Jussie Smollett, doesn’t mean thing they faked isn’t bad.

:frowning:

There are people who do terrible things. But I think we are pointing fingers to the wrong people.

Here’s the thing. This ‘cancel culture’ that you’re decrying? It’s always been a part of human history dating back all the way to the era of the Roman Empire. It is natural for the public to seek a form of justice on their own, although the methods of seeking that justice have definitely changed over the years. Back in the days of the Roman Empire, if you angered the mob, you could be killed, and even high profile figures weren’t immune. Julius Caesar was mobbed by fellow senators and stabbed to death outside of any legal proceeding because they felt that what he was doing was unacceptable and something had to be done.

Fast forward to today of course and the worst thing that happens is you get ‘cancelled’ which is something that can be recovered from. It’s not actually the end of the world if someone cancels you, despite the furore that comes with such actions.

Leaving that aside though, here’s the kicker. For many cases like these? Cancelling is the only justice they can get. Most cases of this nature never make it to trial, whether it’s because there’s simply not enough evidence to support a conviction or because the case passed the statute for limitations.

So rarely, very rarely, will a court of law find someone guilty. Meaning they may have actually done these things, and they get to walk away scott free. All the three names I mentioned earlier? Rolf Harris, Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein? There was enough evidence supporting the victims to secure convictions, but for the vast majority of similar cases? There isn’t.

What justice should they get? Should they get any? By your logic the answer would be no. That they should get no justice at all.

unfortunately 100% this ^

cancel culture, virtue signaling, the various protests and whatever else that goes on in recent years doesn’t care about the truth or innocence.

Everyone is Guilty until Proven Guilty, and an Accusation is equal to Guilt.

Here’s another thing - mob justice is not justice. The mob is almost NEVER right about circumstances. It’s incredibly easy to get a second hand story from an internet stranger and believe it and be outraged and seek “justice”. And when the facts start to come out, the mob finds it’s already committed itself and won’t listen or change course.

Whats changed is the social media companies reward virtue signaling. When a “cause” pops up it’s usually started by someone with an agenda and then everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon to prove how woke they are, never mind their outrage is misguided. Humans are pack animals and sometimes they don’t think, they just follow. The Gina Carano fiasco is a great example.

The bottom line is the mob is reactionary. They don’t want for facts, they don’t look for motivation. They attack. That’s not justice, that’s vigilantism.

That’s how I see it anyway. Personally I just think the world has gone and gotten too bloody complicated and everyone has gone insane as a result.

you Should stop putting words into other people’s mouth to validate your opinions.

Never did I say the alleged should be cancelled. Please find that statement from me.

Accept that he’s innocent, your words are nothing.

Moving on.

If there isn’t enough evidence to support a conviction, there isn’t enough evidence to “cancel” someone either.

That’s not how it works.

Criminal proceedings where there’s not enough evidence to bring a conviction doesn’t mean the person didn’t do it. It just means the courts can’t prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did. It means that people who are guilty can literally walk free without any penalty.

Cancelling is a consequence of ones actions. Even if nothing criminal occurred, the morality of the actions should be considered and companies and individuals should have every right to decide whether or not they want to work with someone because of what they’ve done.

There’s no denying for example, that he licked a woman’s leg. He claims he was asked, the victim claims that he did not ask. Who is right? Impossible to say. But is it right to lick someone’s leg even if you’re asked to in public? I’d say no, and if I was an employer and I saw someone I work with on a professional basis acting in that manner, I’d question if I wanted someone who engages in that type of behaviour representing my company.

Blizzard clearly saw this information and realized that even if Quinton is innocent, that his behaviour is questionable, and so they cut ties with him. A natural consequence of ones own actions.

There is only one KT, and this is merely a set back.

Didn’t this same exact thing happen with Dragon Ball Z’s Broly voice actor?

Seeing as the accuser was a crazy stalker, made multiple fake twitter accounts to make false accusations, made accounts to harass his family, and started this 2 days after she found out he was getting married…

Ya there is no reason why KT’s VA shouldn’t be restored. I’ve unsubbed now until they are.

They haven’t even investigated yet. The man is innocent in no ways. They haven’t even reviewed evidence of his possible wrong doing yet because the court case was for something else entirely.

Fabricated evidence being brought by a raving loony
Ordered to take down their online slander by a court of law
Signs point to “no way in Hell”

You know I pray one of these women who have accused him actually can afford to take him all the way to court and get him arrested. People like you are so ready to believe one crazy accuser means the whole thing is fake. It’s infuriating. This whole country lost its ability to read or think critically.

Adding my support to this.

The Magister’s Terrace monologue is one of the most iconic and quote lines in Warcraft history. KT is one of the core characters in the WoW universe. Quinton is part of the reason KT is so iconic.

It would’ve been one thing to just replace him for future work, but erasing it all completely? This cancel culture nonsense has got to stop.

At the very least, keep Quinton’s work already recorded in the game. Preferably though, keep the actor the same. The new VA just isn’t hitting the right notes for the character anyways.

Canning someone and ruining their life for mere allegations is cowardly and this garbage needs to stop. All is does is empower more liars to come out with more BS to damage anyone they don’t like for no reason.

Be better, Blizzard.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. People like you should be barred from jury duty for life because you’re just out for blood and won’t stop until you get it. I can “read critically” just fine, it’s just that your words

betray your ideology – you don’t believe in innocence until proof of guilt, and would see the entire basis of law upturned for feelies so you can have your pound of flesh.

Obsessive stalker ruins a mans life. Blizzard should really send out a message here.

  1. Nothing is backfiring on me. Even if the forum’s opinion of me online goes downhill that doesn’t negatively impact me.

  2. One of the accusers was struck down? No. One of the accusers was told to stay away from him and never contact him or his family again. She was told to remove information she posted online about him. But she was never once told her accusations were wrong. Two different cases, one was tried, one was not.

  3. I swear some of you people read one thing, then read a second thing and immediately forget the first. I am not saying we should assume he is guilty. I am saying he has not been proven to be innocent.

I am not saying Flynn sexually harassed a woman. I am saying we have judge stating that he was found not guilty of those actions.

This may seem like too conflicting a viewpoint for you to hold in your head but I want you to try. First let’s make sure we agree on the logical conditional, assume that if A is true then B is true. For instance, if it is raining, then the ground is wet. I don’t need to prove how it’s raining, or why its raining, for the ground underneath to be wet.

Now take the statement, if a man commits a crime and a jury of his peers finds him guilty of said crime, then he is considered guilty. I hope you can see how this makes sense.

Now take the statement, if a man does not commit a crime and a jury of his peers finds him guilty of said crime, then he is considered guilty. i hope you can see how this make sense.

Now combine them and add some more words, A man is considered guilty of a crime if and only if a jury of his peers finds him guilty.

Okay so we have now established a man is considered guilty of a crime (regardless of whether or not he committed the crime) if a jury says he committed the crime.

Now we are gonna think real hard about what being not guilty is. Not guilty would be criminal case being conducted and the jury finding the man not guilty of a crime.

In the criminal justice system there is no innocent. You cannot go to court and leave being proclaimed innocent. However we will assume you are innocent until you found guilty. Which effectively means, if you are never brought to court for a crime then you are innocent, and if you are taken to court for a crime then you are not guilty.

So how dos this relate.

  1. i don’t need evidence of wrongdoing or valid reasons to believe he is guilty. I don’t believe he is guilty. I don’t believe he is innocent. I believe he needs to be thoroughly investigated and found to be not guilty though or y’all need to stop acting like he is innocent.

  2. If you don’t believe a man should be investigated after he has been accused of some wrongdoing than you are the one talking nonsense. It’s that simple.

Yeah not a legal issue still it’s a HR issue

You people all need to pay more attention at work
