Please make rsham viable…as well as the other healing classes that aren’t priest/hpal.
rest shaman in pvp will get no love lol. in the history of wow every time rest shaman is good in pvp, we get a nerf the next day.
Pretty sure resto shaman was the only healer the entirety of BFA s1, and has been good in most seasons (albeit not as good as rdruid).
I actually don’t even think it’s bad now after tuesdays buffs/nerfs.
Let’s not forget the aids that was guardian, dh, rsham in BFA.
Literally ball up and not cast a thing and still live (granted that was the guardian as well as the rsham)

Maybe it’s like saying Beetlejuice 3 times, and we all are subjected to the horrors of possibly the worst combination ever to be inflicted onto arena.
As horriffic as that was, I’d still take that over 10.0.7 ret/war/fw any day of the week.
Well yeah, that ret rework was insane
95% playrate and 91% winrate vs non-ret teams in 3v3. Literally the most objectively broken spec in the entire history of the game.
I remember dusting off my ret for the casual stuff and remembered just how stupid they were.
It and how stupidly slow conquest capping alts was is what made me quit DF.
It was def imbalanced for arena/shuffle relative to RBGS. You could do two rbgs and get 300 conq a win for fwotd, or get 35 per arena 3s win and 15 for 2s or something wildly disproportionate XD
I feel it was like really low barely worth doing over skirm in terms of conquest gains.
This is what broke me a little, because my buddy and I have always just done 2s and trying to gear his alt we counted it would have taken something stupid like 500+ games just to get his weapon.
Rsham is more or less fine, just overshadowed by hpala being clear outlier.
Need to be careful adjusting Rsham, there is no more annoying healer to fight than Rsham. Buffing it incorrectly and making it have hpala numbers of rep would make the game unenjoyable for everyone
Rsham has always been overshadowed by good disc/hpal seasons. They could definitely use some damage buffs to be competitive with current healer damage. I’d like to see earthquake back on my Dwayne the Rock Johnson elemental for passive DPS. Would also like to see earthen wall turned into a party buff with like 10-20% reduced effect so people don’t have to sit in it.
Current rsham is mediocre, like 5th best healer. It feels bad to play and it is a glorified healbot compared to other healers who can contribute damage when their DPS are clueless.
Rsham has amazing utility, but what if your dps dont know how to do damage or take advantage of your cc? Other healers do well because damage is king, not cc, and it feeds directly into the win condition when it matters.

More or less fine. It is only overshadowed by Disc/Hpala aggressively. The main issue is that most DPS players are used to qing with something like Hpala/Disc where they just get to be saved from death via LoH mechanic or full blown immunity. A fair number of my losses in shuffle are literally just people running away from me, or over committing and expecting an immunity or loh from me.
Shaman doesn’t have that, and most of our healing is baked in to Healing Tide/Stream/Riptide. Somehow we went from Shaman being the 1 heal top spec w/deep mastery to having 100% mastery and my hardest heals doing less than holy shocks.
Some healing needs to be moved from Totems & Rt → Surge/Wave and NS needs to be impactful again. Earthen wall totem should just be a CD I press that makes all my healing spells absorb a flat amount like Earthen did, that way people aren’t kiting it around. Or it needs a new look on the ground, right now people don’t see it even with pings.
Most shams sit at around 2-3% haste, which makes globals mad long too. Just boring playstyle.
Evoker and mw also beat rsham… they have good damage now and since rsham throughput is low, you’re often on the backfoot and get into a downward spiral of spamming heals and nothing else.

I for one would welcome our resto shaman overlords as long as they don’t give them spammable CC
Basically exactly what I was saying in the Shaman forums to the same guy (I think), lol. People are just used to playing with healers who have super effective, or multiple get-out-of-jail-free cards that obscure their mistakes.
So many shuffles are lost due to partners running out of earthen, so I move it to them, and then they run out of it again. Or they go off on their own island, away from the Shaman and their 3rd partner, when Link is the only button you have to save them… and you can’t even use it.
Would love to see riptide, HTT and HST output reduced and make casted heals actually do something. Riptide should primarily be a modifier for Healing Wave and healing surge should be a mana hog so you can’t just use it constantly.
Edit: I haven’t played since the recent changes but felt like the changes they did make were overall in the right direction.
