Resto Druid in Shadowlands

I think there’s something to be said for a good feel. Even if something isn’t the absolute best talent, if it fits better with your playstyle and expectations, there’s value there. I would certainly never argue that anybody must take prosperity over the other talents; however, I also strongly feel that it’s a talent that vibes with me and how I like to heal on my druid

I’m not saying that the new SM changes are bad, just relating to you that the way it currently is resonates with me, and others.

You and I seem to be on the same page with regards to this. It’s not the end of the world, but we’ll be fine. Heh, I still miss Healing Touch. Why couldn’t that be unpruned!?

See: nourish

It’s not the same, is it?

My understanding is that Nourish is a fairly expensive heal that also throws HoTs on your target. HT was an inexpensive spammable gap filler. I would use it between HoT refreshes. I realize that may not sound super compelling to everybody, but I kinda liked it

*Edit: It looks like the HoT component of Nourish may have been removed in the migration to Shadowlands? It does look fairly expensive though… either way, I’ve kept the HT spot on my bars free (used by trinket on-use atm) so that’s where it’s going come Shadowlands!

Nourish heals for slightly more (??) than a Regrowth and is a little slower cast time. However, it benefits from triple the effect of your Mastery.

If by “slightly” you mean a lot… then sure.

The direct heal from regrowth is 120% SP. Nourish is 194% SP with 3x mastery bonus. By comparison. swiftmend heals for 240%

Nourish replacing prosperity was not by accident. There are some who seem upset over the loss or prosperity and they don’t even realize what they’ve been given.

You’re also not considering that in SL regrowth has 40% more crit chance after the first regrowth, costs less mana, and has shorter cast time. Honestly there’s no point in nourish since the healing is not that much better once you factor in all that and you lose cenarion ward. Also regrowth is 173 spell power vs nourish at 194.

I guess Regrowth is technically 210% Spell Power with the heal over time effect… that also probably benefits from Mastery so is further increased a bit.
