They’re playing it now. Most are probably progressing to TBC. Time will tell, though!
Not in an MMO, no. In a loot grinder like Diablo 3, sure, absolutely. A major MMO? Nah. That season crap doesn’t fit.
I don’t see the value, no. Just because I don’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there. I still support Seasonal Servers, though because they won’t intervene with the Perma Server Listing, since they will self-delete, after a certain amount of time compared to NEW Servers that will NEVER delete.
I actually don’t see the value in it either, I’d really like it explained. People want to sit through ZG phase again, with catch up sets that arguably should have been in the game to begin with?
If I were to be starting now I’d want to be playing with the most people possible.
A problem I see with seasonal is having the perma servers flooded with a bunch of new scarab mounts diminishing their value.
lmao at this guy
Seasonal Servers are the only way to replay the Phases, over and over, again.
I agree, everything should’ve been avail up front, but that’s just not what some (not all) want.
I’m the opposite and prefer less crowds. Which is why I don’t mind “dead” servers, but IK I’m in the minority pool, on that one, but I digress LOL
Hence, why I think if anybody wants to save any Seasonal Server Characters onto the Perma Servers is to pay real life money, for it, IMO.
They want to “show off” so badly, they should pay to save/archive their Seasonal Journey onto the Perma ones.
EDIT: Since, they didn’t get it through the Perma means, they should pay to utilize the Perma Servers “save settings”. That’s my opinion, obviously.
Just start your own private server, I doubt there’s a large enough number or people that would want to stay in classic. The server would die so fast due to no players
People are already quitting to wait for tbc.
I was thinking the same. Every season in D3, folks race to 70. The biggest common complaint of each season seems to be that initial grind to 70. Could you imagine grinding to 60 without initial resources over and over in WoW? I’d do it maybe once per decade.
I think blizzard realized that there isn’t really all that many people who want a fresh classic experience compared to classic forever or classic TBC. Probably less than 50,000.
They probably also realized that most of those players will likely fall off very quickly once they realize the servers they’re playing on only consists of terrible players as majority of the good players won’t be wasting there time on them. Similarly, how private servers kind of ended up. A vast majority of the players on those realms were, just really bad and couldn’t attract stable audiences because let’s get real, most players don’t want to play with bad players or bad guilds. They want things to be efficient and smooth.
Now that being said. We’ll likely get classic again after WOTLK. But this time it’ll be the version the player base actually wanted. Classic Plus.
I just want to add one more thing. I want to drop the word “fresh” because it’s used interchangeably between the NEW Server crowd and Seasonal Server crowd, and it gets very confusing, for me (at least), in figuring out which “fresh” y’all are talking about
So six months down the road when your Fresh™️ meme server is exactly like all the current dead servers, rampant with bots, rmt, and mage boosting, then what?
Then you start fresh again. This is why the idea of rolling servers is so popular. Literally every Vanilla p server does fresh restarts every year and they have had immense populations for over a decade.
Yeah, but isn’t that because they keep getting chased around by lawyers and are forced to start over in some other country?
Classic is done. Let my boy rest. You dug it up after 15 years, its never going to be fresh.
Thank you for confirming what I’ve been saying the whole time. This whole Fresh™️ meme crap comes from the pirate server community and has no place in Classic WoW.
All the thieves and pirates can go back to their pirate servers. None of you will be missed.
I think a fresh server will have merit maybe multiple servers. If only 10% of classic community wants this service it’s enough support. TBC will also steal a lot of retail players, old retired players, and new players in general. It solves the majority of issues that classic has. So I think there will be a place for both markets imo.
No the existing servers would be a wasteland. The fresh servers would be high pop. That’s how it’s going to work.
the number of people wanting to replay through classic again this quickly is not high at all lmao
Based on what information? Because if it’s anything close to nostalrius, Will be fun
Yeah, I don’t think so.
