you cant compare mythic+ with mythic raiding. bringing this into the equation is just disingenuous.
Explain why it canât be compared
because they are two different content routes in wow.
same as you cant compare delves with m+
or pvp with delves
or nary any other combination.
they are different in scope and challenge.
itâs like comparing orange to apple. They both fruit(mythic), but is hella different!
I had a tank try to show the group a jump skip in ML +10 the other week on an alt.
He made it, I leapt up to join him.
He decided to jump down and try to show the rest of the group that were struggling how to do it.
He failed alongside them for a few seconds, logged out, and bricked the key for everyone before anybody even died.
Absolute waste of carbon, atmosphere, and space both physical and temporal.
It really does. You have taken something that was meant to challenge you and made it 1000 times easier to climb higher without having the skill to actually do the dungeons. If you have a friend with a resil key you can leech off them to get your own without actually learning mechanics. It caused the M+ scene to become a nightmare. Its like a participation award.
useless? at least the keys would stock bricking because people leaving due to ONE wrong pull
If you complete the dungeon in time you had the skill to complete the dungeon. Or you got carried, but not having resilient keys doesnât stop people from being carried.
at least it isnt the boss skip.
people following routes made specifically to accommodate team cds on an 18 key stream. then some dumbarse sees this and tries to bring it to a freaking 12 with completely different set of players and classes let alone specs. fails horribly at it. wipes the key because nobody can follow or is used to the route lol.
the best part is that when asked about the route. and why is it done like this. they havent got a clue.
Okay, then delete all of your rewards if you fail to time a key. Keep useless items in your bags to use the crests and valorstones on. Donât take vault slots.
Youâre trying to compare two things that arenât comparable.
A lot of resil keys are being used in key sells and carries. Which blizzard so badly to get rid of but now are unconsciously promoting it.
M+ is now all about who you know and how much you are willing to spend. No longer about skill. Thats why they did the squish and took out affixes.
As long as the monetary transaction is strictly limited to in-game gold, Blizzard does not care about paid carries. They only care about RMTs.
blizzard has never done anything to stop boosting and gold selling besides dealing with hacked accounts.
if anything the token has made it so they get their cut.
We all know RMT is the primary source either way. People are buying that gold usually
Yeah, buying tokens. From Blizzard. Or farming it on their own, because most of them are solo players who just want the mounts. KSM isnât that expensive.

They are both PVE content that requires progression and coordination with a group of players.
Gear rewards cap at a +10 in m+, if you are doing anything higher than that, youâre doing it because you enjoy the difficulty and the progression it provides. Forcing you to redo something you have already done, because you failed a more difficult version of it is no different than blizzard making you rekill a raid boss on heroic because you died to it on mythic.
You get to retry as many times as possible on mythic, while having mythic track gear and typically your BiS items coming from it. Why can m+ players not retry progressing a form of content that doesnât have any mythic track gear tied to them succeeding and them doing it purely for their IO score?
The whole point of m+ is to increase your IO, the gear from it outside of your vault becomes meaningless by week 2. There is nothing these players would be hurting raiders by being able to retry a 14 for progression 3 or 4x before succeeding rather than wasting their time having to run a 13 the same amount of times after their failures.

the resilience system was literally made for key pushers to not fall any lower than the mid point.
m+ is a challenge mode. when you fail the m+ challenge you get demoted to a lower key. thats the punishment for failure. thats all there is to it.
