Thx again blizzard for making this one of the worst introductions of loot in the game.
Complete failure in design and what was previously viewed as a fun raid is now tied up with the failure of this implementation and the feeling of dread wasting my time week after week trying to snag these stupid boots.
Im disappointed I have only seen cloth boots while on an alt that doesn’t wear cloth but it hasn’t killed my fun with the raid. Kind of a wild take just because you’re disappointed. Maybe take a break from the game for a spell and reconnect. And get a hug.
I’ve been told the DPS increase for these boots is very low and mostly inconsequential. Did they get buffed?
I must admit the juxtaposition between calling it an “optional boss” and having it drop bis boots and tier token smacks of incompetence, or arrogance, or some nce that either suggests the devs were out of synch or mocking us.
It’s on you if you’re letting the boots ruin anything.

Are we really pretending like the boots are necessary for the level of content you (and 99% of the playerbase) participate in
Doesn’t matter if its marginal on meters etc., its part psychological for sure and that matters just as much as the minor power gain.
you would gain 10x the damage the boot give by just playing your class better
I think there’s a mentality that is created by the presence of such items that makes it sting harder when they don’t drop. They may not be missing out on much, but the feeling of being both disadvantaged compared to those who have them, and the weekly realization that this won’t be the week you get them, can be taxing.
Not to say that such things shouldn’t exist, but telling someone to just get over probably isn’t going to help. If Blizzard creates the condition, it’s definitely their fallout to manage, however much or little that means.
This is the dumbest reply I could have ever asked for especially coming from people who have the mythic version of the best boots in the game currently.

How lmao. It’s optional in that you don’t have to kill it to progress farther. Whether you want loot from it or not is literally your choice.
A quick sim on my destro lock says equipping equivalent ilvl boots (710) would be a -73k dps loss. Out of 5.4 million on the sim, that’s 1.3%.
That a personal problem.
While it’s indisputable that they’re the best boots this season, it’s also the case that they’re not total gamechangers. People get so worked up over what piece of gear is better than another that they often lose sight of how in many cases, a single gear upgrade is a very small increase. In this context, you’d be fine using either crafted boots, a random myth track from the vault, or possibly even any version of the Reshii boots (maybe not LFR, but that’d be mostly because of the stat difference from up to 30 ilvl).
Now I don’t pretend to be a mythic raider, but I’m an avid driver. When we go to the track and discuss this sort of performance, all our times are normalized to the class we play in against the drivers and the types of cars. Run groups.
Conclude what you will about the state of WoW e-gaming. But it’s not a great platform to beat yourself up on against people you aren’t playing against. You can continue to try to get the drop every week until lockout, so it’s essentially unlimited.
If it’s a 2% dps loss, just factor that in and get the damage somewhere else.

They’re not wrong. Lack of boots isn’t what’s making you grey parse your heroic kills. In fact, they would do absolutely nothing to change that.
They’re just another upgrade and really not that big of a deal.
I just think the boots should’ve been an enchant.
