I actually hope a lot of that is right.
I didn’t want a new race or class since I believe having 36 classes is too much already, but I can at least stomach a new class that ISN’T a tank or melee DPS. I legit want like 75% or more of current tank and melee players to reroll casters/healers.
Kind of a a shame Blizzard didn’t go that way with this new race…only let it be evoker but also allow the race to be the 3 clothies too.

Actually, it would be unethical to bet on this, since they announced it in the reveal explicitly. Not conjecture, not an omission, they specifically said “Drakthyr can only be evokers and evokers can only be Drakthyr”

They’re gonna have to make it good or no one will play the race I would argue that this is the newest class that will pretty much always be guaranteed to be in the top 5.

As someone who has been wanting a new ranged class for years, I’ll more than likely give it a good run. Bonus that it can heal, a little bummed that it can’t tank.
It needs to have a fun and fulfilling rotation.
The new casting mechanic seems pretty neat, and if the casts feel as visceral as they were describing, it could feel really good to play. Which is arguably more important than the dps it does.
I regret not playing DK when they were OP and not playing DH when they were OP so now I’m going to enjoy the new OP class
