I’m currently Renowned 9, what is going on?

Are you sure you’re not confusing renown with your progress in the campaign(ie chapters)? They are not the same thing.

There is a quest in your covenant sanctum to go to the pvp to get the upgrade spell cast on you have you completed it?

Definitely not confusing the two, I’m quite aware of the difference.
Are you sure you did the follow up quest to unlock the ilvl upgrade? It doesn’t happen automatically at renown 7.

It requires renown 7. You are at Renown 9.

So you can’t upgrade once you past a renown point? You need a quest to unlock the upgrade feature?
once you reach the minimum renown you have to talk to a covenant npc at the location of your current covenant who directs you to oribos to make it an official deal, but everyone likes to poke fun at the people who arent aware about details like this
Who isn’t picking up whatever quests that appear in their covenant halls?
You have top go to the pvp guy in the room next to where Bolvar is in Oribos
What’s going on is this is literal trash. Anyone that play tested the game for 3 hours would have been confused by this and a fix would take 1 afternoon of dev work.

But yeah this thread should probably be in the ‘Bug Report’ forum page not the General discussion. There’s still quite a few bugs & stuff that have been since beginning of expansion which were also reported, and thoroughly discussed but are still present. It’s starting to feel Blizzard have stopped caring about quality and more over quantity $$$.
Ultimately though if enough players are dissatisfied with the contents quality due to short cuts, lack of good writing etc — and more keep quitting, it’s going to cost them more in the long run than they gained in the short run.
How? There is a quest in your Covenant hall. You accept the quest. You go to Oribos and turn it in. You upgrade your gear.
What is there to fix?
