Reporting Ongoing Harassment

I’m not acting surprised. I’m pointing out that no TOS violations occurred in the way things are being reported. I’m slightly confused as to how thoroughly one side has been investigated and how much of a pass the other side has.

Yeah I also find it confusing why someone would come into a thread like this and practically implicate themselves as the person being reported when no one was named.

Strange.

Perhaps that might be an indication you don’t know both sides of the story and need to ask some more questions - but ask them to both sides instead of just one.

I mean I have been asking you. Why did that person attack you in the first place? Please tell us the entirety of your story; and if all the people saying that trolling was taking place are outright and inexplicably lying, state it outright. And if so, why on earth do you think that’s happening? Now’s your chance.

wouldn’t waste too much brainpower reasoning with someone who is immune to introspection and intent on tormenting others.

Oh I’m aware. At this point this is nothing more than an exercise in handing someone their own shovel. Answering questions honestly and in good faith truly isn’t difficult. The more that fails to happen as I ask them, the more a case is built.

The story is available on the forums, I don’t mind repeating it but again I ask - under what circumstances would an in-game action justify a personal attack?

It started when we were invited to an event, went to the event, an sPriest requested a duel from my friend, he accepted and at that point was spammed with absolutely horrible things in /w’s.

We have not denied going, dueling, toys, anything we did. Yet the other side does not post full screenshots, posts only edited versions of chats (none of which demonstrate a TOS violation on our side) and at that point we were the baddies and others were obviously the victims of “harassment” and “trolling.”

When we tell that story, we are not listened to and the other side is. How can you respond to people who refuse to listen to one side and will only believe the other?

I repeatedly showed up to disrupt events and was asked to leave and didn’t why is everyone being mean to me crawling in my skin these wounds they will not heal.

I can’t help but notice that the last time I was at the event around 6 weeks ago, this post was made 3 weeks after our visit. It’s obvious that this was in reference to people that weren’t us but we are treated as the sole baddies here.

Once again I ask, why aren’t the same questions being asked of both sides?

Why the scrutiny of one side and the free pass for the other?

I have acknowledged that the whisper you received was wrong. Now will you accept the consequences you’re bound to receive from toys and dueling and all that? And will you stop attending this event since it’s obvious nothing good comes from it for either side?

You acknowledge the one whisper was wrong. This should have never been an issue in the first place when we did not initiate and are being treated as though we simply decided to show up and disrupt an event for no reason, we are continually portrayed as such, and there is no community pressure on how this even began in the first place.

In all of this, you still have not “investigated” more than one side despite patient and reasonable explanations. Why do you believe one side over the other? Why aren’t you skeptical about both sides?

Let’s assume my story is accurate, wouldn’t it be reasonable to say to people, hey: these guys didn’t initiate this and are being reported as though they did?

Wouldn’t it also be reasonable to ask the question after a month and a half after the first event why after all the reporting we are still here?

I’d ask you the question again, but it’s clear you’re intent on not answering it. Let this go. Drop it and stop going to this event. Take the licks coming your way for what you’ve done as I’m sure the person who whispered you the ToS-breaking thing will.

I don’t need to do any “investigation.” What am I, a GM? I think I’ve accomplished what I set out to do in my pointless exchanges with you.

And yet, you are more than willing to act in the place of a GM but only against one side and not the other.

After six weeks, why are we still here despite the reporting?

All I’ve done is ask you questions lol!

And I don’t know why you’re still here. But if you keep attending this event and dropping toys and harassing people, you won’t be.

So why not question the other side as thoroughly as you did me?

Hi, your name is literally “Swagondaddy” no one is ever going to take you seriously with a name like that.

Oh I don’t know. Because they’ve already laid their story out pretty well. Because they’ve had multiple third-party witnesses confirm what they saw. Because they’ve admitted to encouraging people not to interact with you and condemned the suicide wishes openly. Because their name isn’t “Swagondaddy,” a clear attempt at edginess and not at all a serious RP name. Because I’m rather familiar with some of these people and know how they tend to operate despite the fact that I have nothing really to do with them or this event and despite the fact that I’m not someone they look favorably upon at all.

Do I need to keep going?

  1. No need for personal attacks, I repeat.
  2. Isn’t it true that highly edited screenshots are more misleading than no screenshots at all?
  3. I don’t fault everyone present for not knowing the whole story, some of them arrived afterwards, none of them saw the whispers.
  4. This is not the toon I was playing, that was Lthanael, for some reason I am unable to switch my active toon and that’s why I’m using this one.
  5. Both sides have laid out stories that make sense, yet you believe one and not the other. I might be wrong, but that sounds like bias when you don’t give both sides a fair shake.

You’ve admitted to dueling and using toys to grief, yet you refuse to commit to leaving this event alone.

You’re not arguing in good faith. Your fair shake flew out the window a bit ago.

And I do hope sincerely that these admissions and posts are used in the tickets that get created to stop the harassment. Truly, your responses have provided a trove of good material for them.
