Replacement Weapon Enchant Became a Losing Game of Whack-a-Mole

I was replacing the enchantment on my weapon with a new one, and the dialog box came up asking me if I really wanted to replace the old enchantment. The box disappeared anywhere from 1 second to 2 seconds after showing up, not allowing me to replace the enchantment for at least the first 20 tries. I finally “whacked the mole” and got my cursor to the dialog box in time to click the replace button before the dialog box disappeared.

This then happened on the next enchantment on my Cloak. This time I was better prepared (having failed the first 20 or so times on my weapon), and it only took 5 tries.

It is now happening on the pop up window that warns you that clicking on the object obtained from a group quest (in this case, Superbloom), will make it untradeable. (Only 8 tries this time…).

A one time problem is not good but a minor thing like this is ok. When it continues to happen and can happen when other things are going on in the game that missing might have more consequence, it is annoying as hell. This didn’t happen before today’s maintenance.

Before this last time, I closed every other non-system program on my computer, signed out of WoW, then back on. I will restart my computer before logging on again. If it does occur again, I will open a trouble ticket.

What else are you doing when this is happening? What addons are you running?

I run a vanilla system with no addons. The only thing different from ordinary is that I run it (and have since 2005) on a Macintosh computer. I am an ex-programmer and I know how much addons can mess with things, so I choose not to use any, especially as I am on a Mac, and I have learned over the years, they do not seem to do the same level of testing on Macs as on Windows machines.

This has happened in different parts of the world, (Valdraken and the Dream). I will be checking if it happens to any of my other alts, and on other realms.
