Replace liquid magma with "Burn" rune from SoD

It seems that ele struggles when it comes to 2-4 targets in comparison to most other dps specs. My suggestion is to simply remove liquid magma and replace it with the burn rune from SoD. This would place flame shock on 5 targets if they are near each other for each flame shock… Thoughts?

Anything to help make the spread of Flame Shock easier is a good change for elemental. In the past I suggested that LMT should be a 30s CD, and they did actually make that change, however it seems that the problem with LMT now is that it wants to overlap Flame Shock instead of putting it on new targets.

I’m still a fan of the idea of making the LMT talent a capstone where you have an easier way to spread up to 6 flame shocks more easily, or make it into a Searing Totem like ability where it focuses on single target damage.

Flame Shock spread is not why it’s struggling with 2-4 target cleave. 4 targets is easy AF to get 4 shocks out with Pwave and LMT, its other stuff related to the kit. Not having enough Lava Surges to fish for DRE and build Maelstrom at a fast enough pace for ES/EB into Earthquake via Echos is a big issue. Pwave’s cleave potential getting nurtured also impacts it even with CDR from casting Lightingbolt and Chain Lightning.

For Lightning Builds, you can do good cleave but will be doing dogwater single target damage, which makes it DoA for raid and extremely unappealing for M+. Because the kit is borked.

The kit as a whole is the issue. Burn rune would just be a minor QoL change while doing nothing to facilitate better gameplay and better throughput.

Yeah, spreading flameshock isnt really the issue in TWW Beta.

Lack of surges and such hurts more.
