I’m not sure if you have to win, and low, but if you choose to gear an alt through PVP it’s a great way to catch up.

Personally what I dread is the anima farm for my alts.
The character I got to 60 I’m gonna make my new main and I’m trying to gear it up, but I’m sitting here at about ilvl 182 which is not exactly a prime candidate for M+ as a DPS and getting that easy 197 covenant gear actually up to 197 takes thousands of anima which is basically drip fed to you.
To say nothing of if you actually want to upgrade your covenant stuff as well.

I HAven’t bought any of the sactum upgrades of my alts, because I am saving anima till I have like 5k/6k to spare.
On my main i have like 5.6k to spare and bought all to level 1, but the transport network, wich to me is the more useful perk.
but yes, It’s hell.
Renown is the easiest part.
Personally I find alt friendliness at an all time high, minus 1 thing…
What they should do is make Torghast Layer Unlocks account bound. It’s torture slugging through layers 1-7 just to unlock 8’s.
I’d rather anima was account bound than renown. Or at least the sanctum unlocks that use anima. If I unlock them on one covenant, they should unlock for all if I decide to change. Even better would be an account bound achievement for rank 3 sanctum upgrades.

Supposedly rated and unrated have the same drop chances? But yes apparently you can do bgs for renown

dont we say this sort of thing every expansion only to be ignored?
It’d definitely help the game see more /played time if players can roll alts to try new races/professions out and dont have to do the mind numbing part again and can just do the stuff they enjoyed the first time around.
no, it would reduce it because you eliminate almost all of the grind when you instantly get a full set of max tier gear from your covenant on lvl 60

Renown account wide, no. I mean you get renown from simply doing a calling. I didnt log onto my alt for a few days and then had 3 callings all with renown. Gotten em from last boss of a dungeon. I havent had to really do any campaign quests on my alt and its a different covenant too. Its super easy to level. Also what the rush to catch up 100 on an alt? The power increase, imo, isnt enough to warrant the rush.
My latest alt has been 60 for a little over a week and is already like… renown 24? Finished the Ardenweald campaign so whatever the last renown is for that.
The campaign quests the first time around was not the most horrible thing I’ve ever experienced in life… barely.
But doing them all over again for an alt is out of the question for me. Hell to the no no.
I would also like to try different covenants on my main but that’s also out of the Question as long as it means that I would have to do a single campaign quest to do it lol.
Your 100% right it needs to be account wide now that renown is up to 80. 9.1.5 should of done this but obviously blizzard can’t do anything right. Too little too late, this game could be so good if they weren’t so greedy.
and nobody wants to play the fricking campaign and do choreghast over and over again, its bad enough the first time. jesus
