I recently switched covenants and according to all resources the renown cap will increase over time and switching to a new cov doesn’t hinder ones ability to catch up. However, I have done everything available to me after switching and i’m stuck at renown 7. I have no quests and even waited a day to see if that would trigger the next set of quests. I was only offered the quests to collect 1000 anima and 5 souls once so im also behind in souls to level up my anima covenant facilities on top of renown. A little more than annoying. Please help.
Run dungeons, do callings. “Catch-up” renown doesn’t come from weeklies or anything; it just comes randomly from doing normal things.

Done pretty much anything and everything and still no rank 8… this must be a bug.

did you ever find a fix for this, because im having the same issure after switching cov’s. and stuck at 7 renown.
i was rank 9 right before i switched covs and havent found a solution since
ive literally never seen it come from anything other than quests or weeklies and ive gotten 2 toons to 9 renown including this one up until i switched covs. idk where youre seeing that they just drop randomly but ive never heard or seen that happening before.
Found multiple comments on reddit that described it. If it drops from a dungeon it only drops from the final boss, for example.
@everyone, you’re caught up on campaign right? Had a guildie confused as to why he was stuck at 7 and turned out he had two chapters of campaign he hadn’t touched.
I’m completely caught up on the campaign, I even tried doing dungeons and haven’t received anything that should give renown. so im basically stuck here at 7 until next week which will give me 9, then stuck again so ill be a week behind everyone else.

found today that the quest for the calling is now giving a renown for completing!
there is no way to continue the campaign if you can’t get to renown 8… stuck at 7 still and it’s ridiculous

Kinda silly.
I got one renown from a dungeon…so clearly its happening. I think somewhere I even read that it can.
i’m fairly confident in assuming that you had a quest and just didnt realize it because i had a quest this week to kill a boss and got renown but like ive said before that is not from the dungeon itself but a quest… no source outside of random testimonials have stated that you can get it from dungeons.
nope. I had done all the quests I had…thats what was irritating me. I had four renown and the max was six and I had nothing left to do.
I read in here and elsewhere there was catch up stuff already in the game, literally ‘playing the game’ and dungeons were mentioned.
I ran two dungeons and got one renown to drop. probably just lucky to get it that quick,but it did.

It says alts…and while I do have one alt in SL, this character was my ‘main’.
Not sure the game knows the difference, however…I havent told blizzard ‘this is my main/alt’ lol
edit…it does say ‘or’ so I guess that settles it
i didnt have this problem when i was behind on this toon before it only became a problem when i switched covs thats why im confused. ive done a few dungeons and havent had it drop since i did the quest

LOL…you and most everyone else.
You just know bliz is standing around the water corner tomorrow morning getting a good laugh at our torment
