Why spend 5 million gold on a mount blizzard can remove the AH vendor from at any time they want just like the XP from heirlooms? You won’t miss out on much OP.

I didn’t have 130k when the Reforge mount first came out. I got it in Legion. That’s why. It’s something to work towards. Something I’d actually want to use Gold on instead of the usual idiotic Gold sinks like the Spider mount.

If you’re just concerned about getting a bank alt to the current hub, all you should need is a mage portal. 
Mage portals bypass level restrictions, and you only need rank 1 engineering for the engineering auctioneer.
I wouldn’t recommend the BfA hubs as the city resources aren’t too conveniently located however. I’m most fond of Legion Dalaran, though I’ve heard Booty Bay is best.
I thought I had got my Yak in MoP but I guess I only bought it in Legion according to my Achievement… Huh. I had the gold for it back in MoP though, so if it was being removed I could’ve bought it then, since I did a lot of Potion of Luck farming, SoO sales and helped out a bit in some CM sales.
Anyway, I got my Long Boi back in May. He’s cute. But honestly… if you don’t play the AH anyway you don’t really need the utility of this mount.
(and depending on how hard you play the AH a second account is better than this mount too)
The Yak is going to be way more useful for majority of the playerbase.
Blizzard should add a Zombie Brutosaur in SL without the AH for those who didn’t have the gold in BFA for one.
