Group damage reduction cooldowns should only come from healer specs.
When you add group wide damage reduction abilities to dps or tanks, then you find yourself in a position where your group has less survival for not bringing a Dk and Aug/Dev and mage for mass barrier
Aug is starting to see play again after the recent barrage of constant buffs.
With the 6 ilvl increase, we are seeing that the deciding factor for key success will (once again) be group survival instead of group damage output.
To level the playing field, zephyr and AMZ should be removed.
Either remove amz and zephyr and mass barrier from mages or reduce the timer on mythic plus keys by a few minutes.
Reducing the timer on keys would create a situation where the group’s damage output is the overriding factor for group success rather than survival
No, we wouldn’t have reached that point without the six ilvl increase.
Before the six ilvl increase, the deciding factor or group success was dps output, not survival to unavoidable mechanics that happen too frequently for your group to always have a defensive available (hence why zephyr and amz are basically a requirement at this point - remember last season?)
Remove this, remove that, trim the edges, make it flat.
Remove this, remove that, clear the mess and grab your hat.
