Remove timers from M+

Thats like asking why someone would rather take a nice Sunday drive vs leaving 15 mins late, its not a fear its pressure thats unnecessary

So you’re afraid of pressure.

I think Blizzard would be loathe to provide >1 piece of loot independent of any timer. The keystone by itself is likely an insufficient motivation based on the current whining about “M+ now only gives a weekly Great Vault reward since loot drops in runs suck.” Maybe you think the keystone upgrade alone would be adequate, but I’m guessing you’re in the minority on that.

I also think M+ players would lose their minds if you only got just 1 piece of loot for significantly beating the timer by what used to be a 3-chest run.

Removing a timer doesn’t make other classes better tho??

How about…No.

But if there isn’t a time limit clearing trash isn’t the top priority you wouldn’t need to stack top aoe classes

Go do Torghast 20 times as tank on layer 8, see if you’re having fun. That’s what you’d have without timer, except much harder, just a long boring walk through dungeon, each pack taking ages.

Timer makes M+ fun. Instead of taking 4 hours, you can finish in 20-40 mins while confirming gear and experience checklist.

If you can’t time runs, get better or stick to keys you can do.

How in any way is it like that, like I said if you can clear it now in 15 mins removing the timer won’t stop that, you just won’t have an arbitrary amount of time to clear.

The timer is part of the difficulty.

It keeps you managing your resources better.

No it creates a scenario where you just invite high aoe dps classes its not challenging to invite X class

People are going to do it anyway

You mean like the time work starts? Already there.

Wrong, without timer they have to make runs harder, which will take longer. Not harder just in terms of dodging and mechanics, but in hp. damage and all that.

Timer is best solution right now, removing it would require something to replace it, and I bet you can’t think of anything good. But it’s easy to complain.

No one said they’d have to make them harder nor is that what I’m asking for this thread is just about removing timer go else where with that strawman

My opinion, and it is just my opinion, I always thought timers should be added when new affixes aren’t added. So basically:

+2 affix, no timer
+3 no affix added, but timer
+4 new affix, no timer
+5 no affix but timer
And so on.

Or only have timers at say 10 or higher, maybe 15 or higher.

Okay genius, tell me how you’d advance in keys then without timer. How will the game push you to next key?

You’ll just finish dung in 2 hours and get +1?
What about gear then? Do they give you 2 pieces of loot, or 1 since that is what you get for not timing?

You offer no good solutions, but complain about systems in place, system most users like.

Is it backwards day?

Anyone can go spend 4 or more hours on a single run and brute force the place by waiting for your CD’s every pull to suicide wipe packs down one mob at a time.

Kind of why there is a timer.

And to be honest, you take it way you take away the loot as well.

By completing the dungeon get +1 bam. Your own skill and power will be the road block not a timer.

How is it skilled to finish a +15 run in 4 hours?

What about boosting then, people can run their friends through dungeons up to +15 to gear them up, since timer doesn’t matter, 4 people can carry that 1 dps.

You’re completely ignoring the gear reward here.

I’ve never had an issue with m+ from my perspective. Perhaps they could have a checkbox when you put your keystone in that allows the run to be timed or not. I see no reason why not.
