My beef with you isn’t that you think warriors are hybrids and should be taxed and Ive made that perfectly clear. My beef with you is the false dichotomy you erect around it to make it out to be something bigger than what it is. Its not a big deal to me that warriors can do what they do.
Its an old game. It has some flaws. Im fine with it. Youre not.
Call it projection, call it arrogance, call it ignorance, call it stupidity - use whatever naive label you wanna work with. Warriors dont need to be nerfed on your say so and it doesnt make me wrong to disagree with you on that. Just deal with it.

Warriors didnt get taxed in vanilla, that should be your first clue right there.

Warriors are a hybrid class. There is no denying it.
They also are inordinantely overtuned through an oversight in the game’s design, skirting Hybrid Tax.
This is a flaw of an old game that really only began to get exploited after years of theorycraft. It’s something that only hindsight can appreciate with certainty.
Where the two of us actually disagree is what that means going forward.

I can deny it. Vanilla warriors weren’t classed as hybrids by Blizz at launch and these were the same people who told you what hybrids were and yet still didnt apply a tax to them. What does that tell you?
Theyve only become a hybrid now because 20 years later we find out their melee dps makes for great parses in the hands of the right player, with the right gear, with the right buffs, in the right group and the right setting.
Ive acquiesced, Ive seen the light. Warriors are hybrids now - they’re still exempt from being taxed on a druids say so.

In 20 years of hindsight and theorycraft and the 2023 ability to play a warrior forever in one, never changing setting wherein you and your mother can gear yourselves out in full vanilla BiS and never have to worry about about a new treadmill.

Yes they are. It is literally blizzards definition of what a hybrid is and has been like this since vanilla.
Just because you exclusively play vanilla does not somehow make you better than anyone here, so take a seat kid.

Hybrid tax is for Wrath and maybe TBC, not Vanilla.
You are being intentionally dishonest with these descriptions.
Hunters do not have a tank spec, if their pet CAN tank it’s irrelevant because pet tank spec is not a thing. They cannot tank raid bosses effectively either.
Priests are a good example of a hybrid, because they can SPEC heals or SPEC damage. Again, hybrid is not the fact that you can do a certain thing, it’s that you can SPEC for it.
Rogues are another example of a class that does not have a tank spec. Being able to tank for a brief moment with evasion is not a spec choice, it’s simply an ability they can use.
It’s all about what you can specialize in.
