Remove Race/Class restrictions

I see it as an option. A rogue that uses nature based stealth magic would be nice. And there atttacks could be cool plasma based instead of like shadow based for sub.

The pistol could be like a plasma hand cannon.

Class skins could open up other races to classes they don’t normally have access to due to conflicting lore.

Like I am infavor of holy based warlock spec with maybe instead of demons they have beings from the light realm? Or different races from the army of the light being summoned.

Warlock is the summoning class for example and the dranei had there own version called wakener’s before they as eredar got turned into warlocks. Eredar had some mighty powerful teleportation magics that they used as warlocks. But they are seen summoning stuff like mechs to help them fight.

I want a ‘skin’ that makes Shadow for Priests into Light so bad dude. I just wanna incinerate folks with the Light.

This is more then an opinion. There is logic behind it. Once a class is open due to a class skin people will demand the class be available in it’s original state on the race. If high elf players are any indication of what happened to void elves, they would more likely cave in to that demand then not to, which harms lore in the game down to its fondimentals.

To be honest I wouldn’t mind a void knight skin on DK’s since they are both close to each other on how the magic would work. Void can animate corpses, empower, and weaken things like unholy does, it is also said void magic feels cold so it could work with frost too.

I don’t really mind that. Since we already have like lore breaking stuff with lightforged shadow priests.

I wouldn’t mind it for most race/class combos. I personally love the class gameplay over the class lore. Especially shaman. I love the lightning and elements abilities.

Paladin had a bunch of class skin ideas that made it use other elements besides the light and I was a fan of those. Personally would love a lighting based paladin for a more elemental shaman type of paladin with the same class kit.

Overall the classes have a class ability skeleton that can repurposed with other magic school types and fantasies.

A lightforged may not be a warlock, but getting a wakener/ mech calling spec would suit it’s racial fantasy and is stuff we saw on Argus. The soul magic was used to put the eredar into the mechs and continue serving there people. So soul magic would make sense too, and what we see in Auchinduon. Instead of fire and fel, they would use light and arcane for example. The soul magic I think is shadow with death magics but the eredar/dranei homeplanet seems to be corrupted by death magics and they had unique use of death magics in perserving there soul cities.

I am a fan of the dark naaru based void paladin skin someone came up with.

So class skins I think would be nice to open up more classes for gameplay don’t really mind that at all.

WHen it comes to customization and player experience I prefer gameplay>lore.

Yes, yes I have!!! Hey, lets go to Cazic Thule and beat up the lizard people!

I still miss that game.

I’d say out of that list, Dwarves and Vulpera (Orcs sort of) make the most sense “lore wise” if someone can be a shaman I don’t see the reason why they can’t be a Druid either.

Dwarf druids!

Yeah that’s why night elf shamans make more sense then paladins

Humans bald eagle flight form, lion cat form, just a bear.
Blood Elves dragonhawk, lynx cat, peachy/pastel colour bear.
the rest are the races are not a good idea.

Only then will my Troll army be complete!

I had another guy dance all around the issue, so I’ll ask you. People say paladins are infused with the light or some such, essentially making them uber priests. How is this different from what Tyrande high priestess has done with becoming the night warrior?

The more I think about it, the more Void Elf paladins using the light makes perfect sense.

Remember, the voidification ritual the elves underwent was forced on them by Nether-Prince Durzaan, and it was not something they chose. Surely not all of them would have the ability to control the whispers like Alleria, who studied under Locus-Walker.

I could see those who cannot control the whispers turning to the light to help them find one clear path among the many possibilities shown to them by the void. Becoming paladins of the light would allow them to suppress the whispers and control them.

They would still randomly turn voidy with entropic embrace as a sign that they really can’t control it all the way, justifying them to delve even deeper in the light in an effort to do so - making them extremely zealous in the light as a result. Especially since the racial ability is a random passive and not something activated, as in it happens without being controlled.

I’m STILL not a fan of this. But I understand why some people want them. I’d rather have more class race options, but I feel like some of them should stay as it’s part of the fantasy. It’s similar to wanting more ability to interact cross faction but not wanting them gone completely.

yes to this! I want to make all my casters Elves. Can’t enjoy being a shaman because Void elf and night elves don’t have it for some reason!

I would rather they not kill more and more soul of the game. Sanitizing it down to its saddest form.

Or maybe a dps-focused light-damage spec? If pallies can do that by bonking people, why can’t priests do it by pew-pewing? Clearly, it can be applied to damage things.

Oh I’m completely down for that, I just think, at this point, adding more specs is way too much for Blizzard to handle so skins are the more realistic solution.

I get that. They may already think the “niche” is handled better by another class too, which would be sad.
