How do you feel about my compromise?
Well if they don’t agree than you all have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately deep down everyone knows it’s an actual possibility even if only slightly hence why everyone against it is trying so hard to attack us and get us to drop it because they want to be special
It could maybe work, sure. None of these people would be able to achieve those ratings though so lmao.
Hey, I’m just saying they want something we got to be returned, then that is the only compromise from me. It has to be hard and truly earned.

sounds like you need to go play the sims or something where you can dress up your characters however you like. mmorpgs are about feeling special and earning things other players dont have and seeing how you stack up

If people feel that way, that’s also because they have been used to it and they always has been told that pvp elite sets are locked when the season is over.
Of course, whenever there is a beautiful set that came out, people tend to immediatly farm it because they know that it will be locked and they expect that gear to disappear. That would be kinda unfair if these expectation where suddently gone.
It’s kinda hard to change the way the game has been for many years now. Maybe the situation would have been different if elite set where remaining since their introduction.
I’ll give you my opinion now:
I do think that old pvp elite set should remain available through a certain rating (but maybe a bit more difficult since you didn’t earned it when the season occurs) and mythic gear should then have the same treatment (being locked through pve, i don’t have any particular idea about “how” but i can be by achieving a certain number of mm+ keys above 15, 16 or 17 for example).

I’m down for that it’s not hard to rank in PvP and if they added a way to get the sets I want I can just earn them. My entire point is let’s make a compromise to have a way to make that possible if it takes 8-10 seasons in a row then so be it as long as we have a chance to earn. Unlike most pvpers us Chad PvEers know how to deal with long boring grinds.
2400 8 seasons in a row isnt as easy as you think if you’ve never been 2400 before. That means if 1 season you hit 2400 then get to the 5th season and can’t even get past 2200 you have to start all over.
Like right now corruption is helping people get higher cr then they’ve ever been. It is false skill that is the truth behind the current arena.

Man, that would be really hard (at least for me) especially if you encounter a season with a very low participation like the current one.
Also, 8 seasons represent a lot of time, that’s almost 4 years in the game (since bfa got 4 seasons).

Idk if you noticed but all serious PvPers worth their salt all of BFA have been heroic raiding at minimum, mythic raiding and consistent +15s so they can optimize their gear. Just as competitive PvErs aim for 1800/2100/2400 for 470/475 loot.
There’s a huge overlap in people with competitive interests this xpac, unfortunately which u daft casual bad PvErs fail to grasp lol

Not being elitist. Just the facts. I don’t care what you do and at what level it’s no skin off my back. You’re just so obviously inconceivably not close from doing any “meaningful” content yet act as if you have any experience to talk with any authority over the game

Not really honestly it’s just very well crafted armor my favorite sets though are still the Pally lookalike mythic tomb set and the warrior t6 from bc. I also love the gm gear but hate the hwl gear. It’s more about aesthetic than exclusivity.
Hey if you want something that was time exclusive to be returned then you need to put in even more time. Its ment to be hard as well as to be an incentive to keep doing arenas so you dont miss out. It would also make more people learn to pvp if they really want a set from the past.
I’m not against it tho. That was just kinda funny to hear that from someone that wanted them against honor marks at the beginning.
(Maybe 8 seasons in a row is a bit excessive tho :p)
On an aside it would be cool if blizzard would make cool sets again to begin with. Get away from the red/blue faction theme, updated scout tabard part 8 tablecloth pvp tabards, and so on. Remember when they did away with class sets to make “cooler” sets?? yet to reap the rewards with that one

I get that, I guess I just accepted that the game doesn’t revolve around me and the people who earned it then should be allowed to have their prestige more than I should be allowed to wear what I didn’t earn, especially if it means actively taking away value from people who did put the time and effort in to get it.
I got MOP CMs on druid and paladin but regret not doing it on my warrior and warlock. That’s just the way it is, I wouldn’t want to rob those people of their achievements just so I could wear an outfit.

Remember when all of mop sets where unique? Remember how amazing wod season 1 elite set was? Then wod season 2 began the Reskins again.

I agree with that, legion sets where (for the most part) beautiful and I was way more motivated to get them.
Then came bfa… I think i’ll never wear the s2 elite set.
I think MOP is when it began with season 14/15 palette swaps but yes it gets worse every season
Legion season 7 the tabard was recycled, the end of season letter for the gladiator mount had the last season’s title name, in bugged, incorrect tense (dominating instead of dominant), and had a bugged color scheme in which the feet and neck were blue but the jaw and wings were green instead of all green. And it took until 8.1 to fix
Blizzard has not cared about PvP’s main appeal, cosmetic rewards, for several xpacs.
