Remove One race from the game

But Horde has had Trolls since the very beginning so this argument falls flat tbh.

Oh, and Tauren.

I just dont personally agree with the conditions under which blood elves joined the horde. I mean, the entire reason they didnt stay with the alliance after the sacking of quel’thalas is because one human treated them like crap. Let’s be honest, most of the horde has treated them like crap too, right from the moment they joined.

The real reason they dont fit the horde is because, initiall (or historically, even) the horde has been the ‘beast’ races, the inhuman wretches of the world. The Alliance was always the human-esque side, with dwarves and gnomes and elves all looking relatively human and having similar ways of life to humans. Horde culture is completely different, and has always been more nomadic, barbaric/savage, and less organized. We dont build castles and towers and cities like the humans or their allies do, we live on the land more naturally and follow a different set of ideals.

Blood elves, to me, always seemed more like an alliance race than a horde race. It would’ve made a LOT more sense back in burning crusade to make blood elves/high elves the alliance race option, and gone with the broken/lost ones as the horde option instead of draenei.

I mean, they literally had to create an entirely new race (Alliance draenei), and come up with an entire new background story linking them to the already-existing race (broken draenei), just so that they’d look pretty enough to fit in with the alliance.
Having the broken on the horde would’ve made a lot more sense. It also would have kept paladins on alliance and shamans on horde, which I’d have been all for, the factions have become too formless now, there’s nothing defining alliance vs horde anymore other than game mechanics and colors.

It’s not a case of pretty vs ugly, it’s a case of human-esque vs inhuman.

I’d hardly call orcs inhuman looking, they are just buff and come in candy colors.

You’re playing a race that joined my faction because a few humans burnt your boxes of food.

It takes more than two arms, two legs, and one head to qualify as ‘human-esque’.

Orcs arent just green skinned buff humans. They’ve always been more beast-like:

I’m playing a beastlike, nomadic survivalist race that hasnt built or lived in a city for a thousand years. That’s a horde race in my eyes.

But that’s the old orc designs, they have been human’d-up over the years.

Elves.

Why? Do I need a reason? They are elves. Every incarnation of them is infuriating. “Oh we so pretty, oh we so much gooder at everything, oh we are immortal except that we are flammable.”
