The number of people in this thread who think this kind of ridiculous trolling is warranted and that the victim is to blame is absolutely mind-blowing. There are many ways to accidentally click on a portal. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that portals should be allowed in BGs. Simple as that.

Could you list a single location in any BG that makes the portals invisible?
You have no argument, if telling people to use their brain makes you feel a bit more intelligent suit yourself.

Alterac Valley with 30-40 players all stacking at the gates waiting for the battleground to actually start, place a portal in the middle of that and wonder why someone is leaving the battleground every 2-3 seconds before it is even starting lol.
I agree, disable the create portal button.
That sounds stupid to allow this to continue to happen.

You cant see those portals? They are huge, glow blue, and dominate the foreground. If you cant see them, you seriously might want to see an optometrist.

The problem is they often summon them over tables and soul wells.

well what I’ve seen is a mage will either summon a mage food table and put one on top of it or put one on top of a feast or soulwell. it can be pretty funny, but that’s why people end up clicking them. they’ll just randomly throw one on the refreshments and the main indicator you have is them casting it. i fell victim to this once because i was putting on some music from youtube and didn’t see them cast it. gotta pay attention i suppose.
You are aware that portals require you to click on them, right? So if you, somehow, dont see the portal that still means you clicked its location. What are you clicking for?
I once clicked restart instead of shutdown on my computer because i wasnt paying attention. Do you know who I blamed? Hint: not Microsoft.
I alt tabbed out and when clicking on WoW to come back to the game I clicked on a portal.
Sucks but it happens.
That said I wouldn’t make a forum post about it.

Atiesh’s Karazhan portal was a lot of fun too.
Stonard isn’t bad. Just fly south 30 seconds to the dark portal and you are pretty much back in Org.
