Again only people that take advantage of a gimmick are the ones that defend it.
The earth ele doesn’t last forever and can be killed or CC’d. Then shams lose out on another lego effect by taking it.
I don’t think lava burst procs enough or does enough damage to be removed.

That implies you have an issue with R Shamans doing DPS.
Then you follow it up saying R Shamans still do DPS regardless of this change.
So what aspect of Ele do you have an issue with R Shammy having?

isn’t healer damage now factored into many things? I like that i can throw a flame shock and get free damage.

Not really, it’s knowing the history of these forums and the tens out thousands of posts over the years where someone loses in PVP and rushes here to demand the other class must be stopped.
It’s always the same story and it’s almost always a bad idea.
Also, I haven’t done any sort of real PVP well, ever. The only thing I’ve done is random BGs from time to time.

Then you have no leg to stand on. It’s not good for pvp to have a Legendary that does so much dmg.
I actually have two legs and an understanding of how people come here and complain every time they lose in PVP. It’s comical actually how many thousands of these posts have shown up over the years.
As for the legendary, I’m sure Blizz will look at the data (as they are the only people who have access to it) and if the item does have an issue they will address it. They’ve done it a number of time over the years.

Saw someone say this for the first time in FFXIV years ago, I pick to heal BC i don’t want to dps and it sucks that it come over to this game. i left guilds over this and i won’t back down.
In this thread, a gnome and his friends under estimated a healer and it caused them to lose a 2v1.
Instead of reflecting on the situation and seeing areas where their play could improve, gnome seeks to nerf the enemy class.

And when the tables are turned and I was the rsham that did the 1v2 and felt like this was ridiculous that is when I made the form.
I don’t know if I’d want to play with somebody who isn’t interested in putting in more effort.
You’re basically saying that you’ll do the bare minimum and that’s it, so I can understand how you’d get removed from guilds, or struggle to find people to play with in general.
There are some healers that aren’t as heavily-encouraged to do damage but it’s just weird to refuse to utilize a portion of your kit.

I mean, you do you, but this makes you a lazy healer, and that’s just objective fact.
Healing is not needed every GCD of every fight. There is tons of downtime. Many DPS spells do not cost mana or cost negligible amounts. There is no longer a legitimate reason to not DPS because of this – in the past you could argue that you needed to recover mana in case you needed it later in the fight or something, but now you’re just sitting there and it’s literally pointless.
Healers doing 0 DPS is something you can get away with in most content and most of the time no one is going to start screaming about it (partially because it’s how things used to go most of the time due to the mana thing), but pretending its somehow a bad thing or a burden to be expected to do so is stupid. Why would you think standing there doing nothing is the the way your class is meant to be played?

I’m fairly confident this complaint is aimed at PvP. The earthquake ele is fairly egregious, in my opinion. But that’s purely from a competitive standpoint.
