Remove key depletion

+1 agree

there is already several punishments in place for failing a key.

#1 raderio tracks this and you will get into less groups
#2 you get 5 fragments instead of 12
#3 your key gets -1 level and randomized.

its not fun. make something fun and more people will engage in it. hell, make pvp gear overlap better with pve gear like SLS1 and crazy stuff happens like people enjoying your game.

You already get to stay there indefinitely with the current system, since you got the score and most likely gear. So you just sign up to others.

Yes but this a very real problem that keeps people from playing the game. If the game doesnt respect my time, why waste it?

If you get a key where they want to rerun over and over, leave. Simple.

I thought people are busy not being invited because they’re not meta?

It’s rewarding skill instead of people that solely have excessive time. Why shouldn’t they reward skill?

Timing a 25 takes skill regardless if it depletes or not. Its just a waste of time if it depletes.

If Dark Souls deleveled your character everytime you died and you had to go relevel everytime you fought a boss the game wouldve died instantly.

It rewards gear checks moreso than skill.

An issue easily fixed by a nifty little feature that makes certain people here scream.

And you have to rerun EVERYTHING when you finally die in Hades. Different games, different designs.

Wows not a rougelite. Thats the point of the game. The difference would be if you died in hades you would have to do a 30 minute timer before trying again.

Edit: Grammar hard on phone.

WOW’s also not a platformer, and I have to jump on platforms at times.

People chasing score care more about the score’s value than the absolute number. If the number is all that matters, nerf dungeons every week by 10% so it can keep going up.

Then we can run +50 keys or something for the finish.

I don’t see the issue with rewarding consistent players as opposed to “we got lucky.”

I do agree with this opinion. People can just leave and intentionally ruin your key.
That is why I never use my own key. I cannot find any benefit from using it, all are risks.

you don’t see a benefit to making your own group? and getting a higher key in your bags?

I mean your comparing an orange to an apple. If you want to compare apples to apples, compare torghast to Hades, its the closest comparison. Would it be fair to force someone to rerun floor 8 if you fail floor 9 before running floor 9 again? Of course not. Why do we inplement the same time wasting system in m+.

The point of running keys over 20 is for io and because its hard. Whats not hard, is running a key you already time abritrarily.

The point of running keys over 20 is to compete for the title or to chase score (which is of relative value.)

Where does it stop? If you time it, your key doesn’t go down. So then 3 minutes and it doesn’t go down, but at 3 minutes 2 seconds it does, and that feels bad and has to stop… etc. etc.

The key lowering due to failure is for a few reasons. Due to whatever, the key was too high. Yes, there are some unfortunate reasons this can happen. Good thing you can play it back up, or use someone else’s key. If you HAD to use your own key, this might all make more sense. It’s also to prevent nonstop practice mode. The idea was to practice in lower keys and work your way up. Or use friends willing to raise and lower keys to allow you to practice the levels you want. Not to subject puggers to this.

About that…

Edit: Nvm found it!

Thats not why i run keys over 20. I just want to see how high we can go. But theres no point running a 24 if ive already done it. Im not wasting my time.

If key depletion is so mandatory why isnt it implemented in TGP or mdi? Its so rediculous for people to practice, practice bad. Must control how people spend their time reeee.

TGP is televised, and it’s to create a spectacle for people to watch - which I guess means watching people fail at ludicrous pulls over and over again.

Yeah but this system lived and died in the first iteration. People dont like their time being wasted.

Only reason why people put up with it is because if your key gets depleted you just dont run your key again that week.

You can just use the key vendor to reduce it as needed. Blizzard of course won’t do this as it will simplify people’s ability to target keys for loot.

This is the reason it wont change. Artifically extending play time.
