Remove Flying. It killed the TWW Leveling Experience

Anybody still buying this grift?

I got a better idea. How about we ban people like you from retail, so you can find play Classic for all your WoW gaming “career”?

I do get where you are coming from and dont entirely disagree.

I have an alt army to maintain though and ground mount leveling would be painful.

The expansion with Stormrooks and flying down into the center of the world, was “robbed of immersion” by flying?

lol everyone wants to control the way things are for other ppl though… why play how they want to, if they cant force everyone else to play that way too.

Too late. Better luck next expansion.

This was the best leveling I’ve ever experienced. I rarely had to leave my druid flight form to do any of the quests. I could pick most things up while still in flight form. Just like I can pick herbs. However if I turn on regular flying I cant pick herbs anymore because I dont have enough knowledge points yet. I literally leveled twice just from picking herbs.

It is how the game is structured around the “Flying” that irritates me, is all.
I do what I want. I stay on the ground, trek on foot.
I ignore the “Omg Pathfinder is so hard to grind” rants and laugh. I’ll get flying when I want to. Whatever.

The issue is: Wow now has these World Mobs, Named mobs… that are a part of achievements, and reps etc… and if you DONT join the “others”, hop on your mount and flying mindlessly to said mob, and zerg/tag the mob to get credit… and get it while it’s hot. You’re going to miss out. it kind of sucks.
I know personally I’ll go back and look at missing achievements and just /sigh. "Yep, there is that mob that I didn’t kill because I was too busy, “enjoying my game”. Great Example those Zereth Moris mobs. They are now a 12-20 hr. camp, which used to be zerg kill rah. /Shrug.

But sure. People, enjoy your flying.
Just know that the people who don’t, go play other games. And the people who fly, hit end game, and then go play other games.
See how this may affect player counts and subscriptions?

Eh, it’s all myths.

Just as long as you ain’t gonna complain later when mobs are “too hard” because you’re wearing 400 gear at 80 and then blame it on the scaling changes (nevermind the fact said changes didn’t touch Lv80 mobs) lol. I’ve seen it happen.

See, he supports flying but ONLY for “those moments”.

lol.

Like, he knows there are quests in the game where flying makes it better, and he knows he can’t argue against it, so he says “I don’t want flying except for THOSE moments”.

Absolutely it would. It always does.

so you mean… kind of like old wow? Where unless you were part of a guild run and camping for literal hours you generally weren’t going to get it and better luck next time?

1). Seeya. Don’t let the door smack your behind on the way out.
2). I don’t see this being a problem, because said players will come back even if it were true.
3). I hit max level and now I’m leveling alts.
4). When I’m done with leveling alts, I’ll be gearing a few of them up.

That’s what I did. I cheated a few times to get somewhere fast, but 98% used ground mounts and flight paths. I really enjoyed, flew like 100% on my other two alts.

You are in charge of your own fun and how you do things. If immersion is what you want, then go on a ground mount and RP to yourself in your head as you play the game. (it’s what I do/did when I was leveling, minus the no flying part :^) ) Fight the urge to min max every little thing and realize there is literally no competition. The path of least resistance will always be tempting but leveling is not a path of resistance but a path of relaxing.

See, there’s a difference between that, and trying to impose your will on other players.

You used a ground mount and enjoyed it.

Awesome.

But at least you didn’t expect or demand that we all do that, because you think that’s how it “should” be done (even though almost everybody disagrees with you).

I use my ground mount unless I need to travel an incredibly far distance, its more immersive to me. I would never force anyone else to do it.

That’s the difference between classic and current content.

Classic is rewarding.

Current content is not — nor is it designed to be, it is designed to be “fun” and flashy. I.e constant focus on rotations and combat. Not on the end goal and being different from others.

When isn’t a Skinwalker a troll thread?

hmm this, imagine walking everywhere, I’d still be on the campaign and 80 from randoms.

TBF, only regular forum-goers know the names of specific people. An average person ain’t gonna know who that is.

I left after BfA because I was tired of not being able to fly. Im not grinding a pathfinder.

I use my ground mount when Im out doing quests. When Im going to quests from a hub or from one zone to the next Im not using a slow, awkward, flight path or riding a slow ground mount across massive areas.

15 minutes out of 60 minutes playtime should not be commuting from one area to the next like you are on your way to work.

I skipped SL and DF because of the pain in my tooshie pathfinder bullcrap. Ill 100% leave again for good if they drop flying in any future expansions.

I’m serious, Im done grinding stupid things that should be available from the start.

If YOU dont like flying then DONT FLY you smooth brain. Stop trying to make everyone play the game the way you think it should be played. I don’t give a singly fat fly crap how you play the game. You should play it how you enjoy it and stop worrying about making rules for everyone else to play by.

Garbage post OP, absolute garbage
