If some players donât want to do dungeons and raids and rated PvP, they can choose not to do that rather than force a time gate on the entire playerbase so nobody can because some players canât handle making individual choices.

How about you worry about YOUR experience and let everyone else worry about theirs? My zooming around doesnt effect how your toon operates in any way, shape, or form. World questing and leveling is a solo type gameplay and should be treated as such, which it is because you sir have options of how you can play.

But that made me and others unhappy. Donât we count? There is a reason why the vanilla leveling is seen as the best experience in WoW. It had no flying, yet millions absolutely loved the exploration, journey, and the discovery process of it all.
Are you saying the devs and players were all wrong in that gameplay design?

so you donât wanna willingly set on walking on the ground, you wanna be forced upon it⌠i get it, you are a masochist!
Then experience it the way you want to and leave others to enjoy what they enjoy. Or are you also forgetting even ground mounts were a luxury in vanilla, so perhaps we should also take your mount(s) from you and your travel forms to keep you in line with most of vanilla. Also lets go back to vanilla style and remove server stability, world quests, dailies, and full 1-max level questing to get you up to max level leaving you to grind for several levels. Oh, and lets also remove most addon functionality, force players to find groups through whatever /2 has to offer, and take away most solo-able content, take away heroic dungeons/m+, but not from all of us, only you because of how much only the old content was good. Or just play vanilla because thatâs an option still.
I loved flying through the zones and also took frequent stops while leveling to just enjoy varying heights, sights, and zones. There were a few places in Hammerfall alone that I just sat there staring off into the distance loving how everything looked. And yes, I ran around without a mount every so often just exploring and looking at things from the ground level. I of course main a rogue and so stealthing about and seeing what there is to see is very much what I spend a ton of time doing in game.
In the end people like you are just authoritarians that canât deal with someone enjoying something you donât. Let people enjoy what they enjoy and if you donât like it, donât join in doing it. Youâre not special, youâre not better than anyone else, stop restricting others from what they wish to do as theyâre not hurting anyone by flying.

I donât sub without flying.
They removed it, and I unsubbed.
They added pathinder, and I only subbed after it was unlockable.
They want my money more than they want to please you, sorry.

I do this. I still run around on foot a lot, take my time, immerse myself and enjoy the journey.

I feel like things like Earthen and regular flying being gated behind the campaign completion did more to screw up the leveling experience than flying did.
The account unlock rewards needed to be spaced out a bit better to keep from incentivizing blasting through the leveling experience as quicky as possible.

Earning flying over and over used to piss me off immensely. To go from a faster gameplay back to snail pace felt punishing. It does feel too easy to get through content at times because we can fly but I donât have the same time to grind out slow pulls like I used to either. Itâs a 20yr old game and most of us that have been playing for a long time really appreciate the ease of life.
You didnât have to fly, you chose to fly.
This is as easy as you choosing not to fly.
Yeah, but heâd see all of those Lv80s with maxed out professions while he was still 75 with 20 skill and itâd just rustle his jimmies.
