Threads like these and the incessant whining about flying from vanilla grogs are why I was slightly tempted to tell Alexstrasza I thought the wingless didn’t deserve rights.
Okay, so play that way then. No one is stopping you from doing that.
It’s so weird how you people don’t even try to understand where the OP is coming from and instead just project your opinions of them into what you think he said.
You’re joking, right? We are not doing these again.
It’s been 20 years of WoW and about 18 of those with flying in one form or another. I’ve been at this argument for a good 15 of them:
It’s not going away.
At this point, you’re trolling.
Do better.
Other than, you know, he can’t find a guild of like-minded people because there are like 10 people in all of WoW who think that way.
It feels easy not because of flying but flying simply showing you how small the world they designing is getting. You feel how small the zones actually are when you can fly over them. Flying isnt the issue, its the idea that these zones are good enough in terms of size.
bro, I’m with you regarding flying when exploring a brand new zone.
in TWW, the terrain seemed plenty fine 90% of the time to just do ground mounts for people like you and me.
However, that wasn’t the case in say, Stormpeaks, Icecrown, half of SL zones, DF, etc, etc., so I could see someone not even bothering.
Blizz made a cognitive effort to let ground mounts be a viable thing this time 'round though.
You realize that they would have to change the entire expansion for that right? One of the first quest is to fly to the city. They would have to change to shadowlands where you take some portal to get from place to place. Not to mention how big the zones are compared to old content. Get a quest on one side of the map to complete on the other side of the map. It would probably take a good 20-25 minutes on ground mount just to get there, just to talk to someone and turn about and go back. At least at that point you wouldnt be able to go from 70 to 80 in a day.
You forgot Wowhead and Iceveins. Let’s shut down all external help sites because they are spoilers and are ruining the game experience.
Damn how annoying you are, if you don’t like flying then don’t fly, do you really want Blizzard to remove flying just because you don’t like it?
Stop being selfish, most gamers love to fly, and you have a simple solution and that is: don’t fly!
There is no need for Blizzard to remove flying as it doesn’t force you to fly, it gives you the option to play the way you like. I really can’t understand this type of complaint.
(I use Google translate, sorry for any mistakes, but I decided to respond because I’ve seen this type of unnecessary post several times and decided to vent)
Bud I think that’s what we’re all trying to do here.
I just said they combine threads sometimes and disagreed with the self monitoring of the forums.
I DID state that is someone expresses a view I disagree with it should still be allowable, but that doesn’t confirm that I agree or disagree with OP. Just a blanket statement.
Hiding posts through the community curating your online space for you is negligent behavior on the company’s part imho. We are here to enjoy a video game and form of entertainment, not agree 100% on every life issue.
You can keep getting offended on behalf of OP though, you’re entitled to it and I encourage it!
OMG…just don’t fly !!
Problem solved …
/Things to self: "Geezzz…REALLY? "
Blizz should drop a no QoL server or event. All the current story and stuff with all the inconvenience and tedium of vanilla. People like OP would love it!
I haven’t played WoW in a few years and I found it refreshing that we weren’t punished by being stripped of our flying skills. It was refreshing that they actually included flying in the questline.
Why did you fly and not walk around? You did it to yourself kid.
No what you mean is if we are all on YOUR playing field it would be great. Because it’s all about what you want and everyone else can get rekt.
I swear I’ll never understand these people who want everyone else to suffer because they don’t like something they don’t have to do posts.
For my immersion, I like having the option to fly. Because like if I’m exploring a new area, you better bet I’m scouting from the skies (especially as dracthyr and druid).
You have the option to play the way you want, you just need to choose to do it. Imagine my immersion roaming around as a dracthyr and not being able to fly…
Level a new toon and level the way you want! Trust me, you’ll still enjoy it.
But posts like this get lots of bites.
