Remove CR loss in PvP

Fruit is fruit, wow is wow.

Simplify feeling of progression. It won’t really change how people gain rating under the hood, but changes the perception for player experience. Probably not as serious of a thing in 2s/3s but def not a bad idea for RSS with how bad the current system already is.

You probably thought you had a banger when you typed this out huh

You can’t say that. It’s your idea. Leave the complimenting of it to the public

Have you seen the volume of complaints about healer mmr and gaining no cr for going 4-2?

This would suuuuuck.

You’d lose a bunch, and your mmr would drop but not your cr. So now you’re at 1650 mmr and 1800 cr.

In that scenario you’re needing probably 2 6-0s back to back to move cr at all, or else you’re stuck for a while in a purgatorial rating state where you gain no rating with success unless the success is maximum.

Using myself for an example - I got to 1800 in 6 games on this ret. Felt good. Opened last Tuesday 4-2, moved to 1835, then absolutely tanked an 0-6.

It took me a bunch of 3-3, 4-2, and one 5-1 to finally move back up.

The whole time that was fine (despite my frustration with myself for tanking so badly). And tbh, seeing the rating increases with mmr changing is a good barometer.

If it was just my mmr going up and I’m stuck at 1835 with no movement until it mmr passes cr I’m probably not queueing rss again tbh.

Lmao yeah I did

Rating would lose some of it’s value. Personally, I would quit immediately and I’m sure many others would as well. The risk of losing rating is what makes it challenging.

The season ebbs and flows with buffs and nerfs and rating should reflect that.

I agree. Also give pve boss encounter after arena (difficulty of boss depends on how high your cr is) for the losing team and if you defeat the boss then you do not loss mmr either!
