You obviously have a dumb dog but no, cats are not smarter than dogs. That’s a scientific fact.
However, since I can’t see how you interact with your dog, it might be an owner problem and not a dog problem. You don’t raise a child right and they’ll be completely destructive. Don’t potty train them? They’ll crap on your floor too. And that’s a human… smartest animal on the planet.
So judging an animal’s intelligence on their bowel moments really isn’t a good measure.
just a small example, could list more. oh ya science is perfect lol. oh gotta insult me now cause of a dumb dog? it’s ok not my dog anyway. can’t say cats are dumb compared to a dog, they act different, of course a cat ain’t going to be trained and do what dogs do, then same with dogs. why is it a cat though is more independent and dogs need constant care? i’ve known alot of dogs, all the same outcome really. you believe everything science says? evolution, climate change and etc?

Cats and dogs are both adorable, and anyone saying cats are stupider than dogs has never met a motivated cat.
Dogs are easily trained. So are cats. So that’s not a good exhibition of intelligence. Just gotta approach it differently.
PS: if you want to train a cat, stop free feeding it. Hunger is an excellent motivator, as anyone that trains animals can tell you. If they have free access to food, rewarding them with food lacks punch.

Saying you don’t know how to train a dog isn’t an insult, it’s just being blunt.
Because it’s an independent animal. Do you think an ant is smarter because it needs care? Or do you think an old woman in a nursing home is dumb because she needs constant care?
They need fed, they need their excrement taken care of, they need attention. This is true for the smallest gold fish to the largest horse.
Then you’re not paying attention. Not all dogs are the same.

Doesn’t matter how many cats I have met, studies have been done. Dogs have more cortical neurons than cats.

just stating a fact, dogs can’t take care of themselves as well as a cat. of course they both need food. you bringing up dogs can be trained to do jobs cats can’t. no really?, of course cats are different, that don’t make them dumb. cats are just more independent, wanna do their thing compared to a dog.

All I said was cats are not smarter than dogs. All joking aside, and also putting aside the fact I don’t like cats, I appreciate people that adopt cats from shelters or where ever.
