Removal of Titanforging from M+ was a mistake

M+ is practically dead as far as casual pugging goes.

Too much pain and too little rewards. Welcome to shadowlands.

Indeed. TF was never treated for what it actually was and that is what ruined it.

And we have come full circle

that statement sounds like a gambling addict.

Removing titanforging from everywhere was a mistake. Mythic plus people have been too spoiled by the amount and quality of the gear they used to get.

“I’m ok with feeling awful about the loot 99% of the time if there’s a 1% chance that I might feel goooooood

No, entirely different. Getting a bonus because you did ‘x’ which you were going to do anyway is entirely different than doing ‘x’ hoping you will get titanforged gear.

No titanforging of any kind ever again.

M+ loot was doubly nerfed in SL. The ilvl was brought down, and the number of drop was also reduced. I’d say reverse of one of these two nerfs would probably suffice.

Because you can’t sit there and farm a heroic all day for loot like you can with a mythic. Add a lock out to mythic+ key tiers and you can have loot on par. The entire reason they reduced the ilvl was because mythic + was far too much faster to gear up thru then raiding any tier.

This is what raiders wanted, they wanted to murder M+ because they thought it would increase the participation of raiding, but currently the participation for raiding and M+ are down.

I think your tinfoil hat is a bit tilted.

I dont think you realize that what you said, does not negate what i said in any way.

It sure did.

An addict is someone who pursues ‘x’ in order to get ‘x’ rewards.

Someone doing ‘x’ for other reasons is not the same.

So here’s the thing…raid loot was nerfed hard as well.

With M+ and Raid loot both nerfed, it then becomes a matter of “which game mode is more fun”, right? If M+ is flopping, that should be a dead giveaway that it’s not a fun game mode, yeah? Maybe if Tyrannical wasn’t shoved down our throats every other week it’d be more tolerable.

That’s a strange justification. Are you an addict in self denial?

No you are wrong because you overlook differences in how rids and M+ are executed.

Raids are more often organized dedicated groups. M+ was substantially done at least in part by pugging.

Both raiding and M+ are down, but M+ is hurt worse because reduced participation exacerbates difficulties with pugging which further reduces participation and progress - its a negatively cycle that hurts M+.

They were just confused.
There is no reason to complain about getting more powerful gear for free.
You’d have to be confused to do that.

Everyone’s complaint about titanforging was that it devalued standard gear, and that is just a psychological trap.
There is no actual evidence this happened, with respect to the game’s systems and their tuning.

Removing Titanforging just makes the game harder, and DRAMATICALLY reduces the pool of viable loot, as you see from M+.

They need to find a system like PVP where you can upgrade gear or something else if we are sure the randomness should not return, because right now it has turned an already awkward gearing schema into a nearly non-viable one.

There are just far too few sources of viable gear right now.

No but I had a sister who was a gambling addict and it is entirely different.

I suggest you read up on addiction and what behavior is necessary to be considered that before you want to through that label around again.

This is probably the worst excuse to gut M+ I’ve ever heard. The only people who are going to constantly spam mythic plus are the HOF raiders who are just going to run a million split raids instead of M+ now.

Regular human beings ran M+ because it was time efficient and between jobs and family we had enough time for maybe 3 runs a day, and if you have ever done mythic plus you would know even in bfa at that rate it would take you half a patch to get gear.

But hey thanks for ruining the game for us just so people wouldn’t have the same ilvl gear as you at the end of the patch.

You’re kidding right? Many raid and M+ groups expected you to have TF gear. This was a widespread problem and denying that the problem existed doesn’t change that.
