No one is forcing you to gank anyone so that’s a poor decsion on your end if that’s what would make you quit.
Yup! It would have ruined P2’s purpose but still. I’m more into the raids, contents, and alts then PvP.
Probably the 4th time I’ve quoted that.
This makes some sense, but a gank sets people back maybe an hour at max? It still takes a couple hundred hours to hit level 60.
It happens, just not as much as one would think. Or more then one thinks?
But you’re level 60? Your limited time is well ahead of the curve of other players limited time just as a heads up. Takes a couple hundred hours to hit 60, WPvP adds hardly any of that too.
100% of this still applies to PvErs who get to 60 and then flag themselves for PvP in the world or go into Battlegrounds with other 60s.
0% applies to PvErs OR PvPrs who are level 15 in Crossroads when a 5 man pack of 60 Alliance players come through and one shot everything. Your muscle memory in that case will be enough to blink.
If you want to solve the imbalance problem by removing a server type, why not remove the PvP servers then?
If you roll on a PvE server and flag yourself it’s almost the same as being on a PvP server in terms of being attackable. If you are on a PvE server and flag yourself you can be attacked by anyone of the opposite faction that is flagged as well in contested/enemy zones.
Those who want to PvP can flag themselves and freely attack anyone else flagged, while those who want to play in peace can stay unflagged.
That said, I’m not actually advocating the removal of either server type. Just pointing out that if you were going to remove a type, PvP would be the one to remove and still give players the option to play how they want.
If it doesn’t happen, sure. If it does, it can delay it significantly. I leveled through STV, I did all of it start to finish through questing. Are you honestly going to say being on a PvP server would have added no real delay to that?
And to me, PvP is not even a means to an end. It’s much less than that. You either do a corpse run or you make someone else do a corpse run, and then you’re both right back where you started, so you do it again, and again… It’s pointless, IMO, and a huge waste of time.
Yes, i am very cautious of how i pull mobs i’m killing for quests. I have to watch out for respawns (layering auto-switch), normal respawns, patrols, etc. I by no means feel like a god.
You add in the ganks and having to worry about other faction running up on you when in a cave and… the mobs are worrisome enough.
I hate dying and try VERY hard to stay alive. Ganks pretty much ruin the whole immersion and experience for me.
As I said, I’m not advocating the removal of either type and don’t see the point much of it BfA either, just pointing out that removing PvP, since you can flag on PvE, would be the better option if you wanted players to still have the choice of how they want to play.
Don’t have any but after the last Census addons were broken, the curve of the population was around 30. So unless the majority of players amped up their time substantially I would assume they’re around lower 40s.
Like I said, it maybe added an hour or two for me. I’m at 6 days played so that would be a grand total of 1.4% of my playing time.
Nope. It would also cause a HUGE uproar as it’s forcing people into a playstyle they probably don’t enjoy. Blizzard would see their numbers tank pretty hardcore then who knows what balance would be where
This is a game, not real life so this in no way applies. You are not tough because you play on a pvp server, since your avatar dying or living has nothing to do with you.
However, keep on believing you are a hero in real life because you play a video game a certain way.
