Deleting old raid bosses simply due to the fact that there is a legacy bonus from your level is entirely different from powering yourself up to the point of being able to solo current-level raid bosses.
Seems like more and more people are getting properly trained to enjoy, press button, get loot.
No, it’s the same thing.
Just goes to show how different people like different things. Not saying you’re wrong to like what you like; it’s all a silly game. But I find Remix too silly to care about, get bored very quickly, and only log into it long enough to run dailies and buy mounts. I am excited for TWW and some content that actually challenges me.
^ Very true. I see “War Within” as “OH LOOK! More grindy chores” ~_~
Killing old bosses simply because of your level is the same as earning power from completing current-level content, to the point where you can kill bosses designed for 5 or more players?
It’s kind of the same thing, just use your powerful mind to change your perspective. To this character, WoD is the most. He is sooo good at mythic raids in WoD, top tier
Just pick a character, disenchant all their gear and start from ilvl 0, you can really earn it if you want. Gear up in dungeons, then normals, then heroic, then mythic if you want. Any raid before legion works for level 60+ character.
Yeah when a few days into remix the content was getting blown to pieces as if there was somebody 3 expacs ahead on power just like in retail mog runs it’s basically the same at this pacing
BUT at least others want to join you. You can’t really find others to go run legacy raids for tmogs because a) you don’t need anyone else b) nobody wants to share the loot etc
I like bringing geared players, but then also a few lowbies to give them a speed carry.
My favorite part of WoW these days (much more than raids) is running M+ with my regular group of friends. With five people you can develop tight teamwork. It’s fast paced, with enough variables that every run feels different. We’re pressing buttons every second and it feels like very button-press matters. But that’s me. Everyone should enjoy the game however is fun for them.
personally I dont want retail turning into one shot remix.
We can do that farming old content.
I want some semblance of resistance in retail at level.
Whats the point in one shotting everything thats my level?
No fun in that at all.
Those people earned that power because they wanted it. They didn’t simply ding 70 and get OP.
In Remix, there is a wide spectrum of power levels according to what content players do and how much they do of it.
In Remix, the power of the enemies and the power you gain is real. You don’t have to pretend anything.
For me, I guess the progression treadmill. Get to X ilvl is the goal lol. I like to get there quickly. And with the least resistance or pain as possible
It only takes 5 good players to carry most raids
Sure, but the power gain from 0 ilvl is also real. Level 60 doesn’t actually one shot, even at full mythic hfc item level. You do get power, just do normal dungeon, heroic dungeon, mythic dungeon (if the xpac has that) then normal raid, heroic raid, mythic raid in that order.
you’re just grinding a different currency for a different reward. in the end it doesn’t matter as long as you stay subbed
I started a mage tonight, just to get the class transmog. Didn’t do any questing, just queued for dungeons. At level 11 I was vaporizing packs with every arcane blast. One button, level 11, topping meters. It’s a very silly game mode. But many of my guild mates love it.
Nah, the thing I want from remix is the more relaxed collection thing. Play the content from the era, get currency to target what I want. And just get more appearances passively.
That’s nice.
I dont so much enjoy the perpetual gear grind. I usually get off of the spinning wheel where it gets annoying and wait for catch up gear to ‘progress’…just less annoying that way.
Im just far enough behind the curve that I dont have to grind to much for the gear and everything is just long enough to kill that I dont feel like Im one shotting to the point of boredom.
Level lock, stay at level 11 - arcane mage is so good at low levels and then meh later
