Reminder about target cap / aoe caps

Lost arc doesn’t have an aoe cap

Wrong.
Timer makes sense for a RPG and have always been important for… rpgs.
It makes more sense than enrage timers which are still timers nonetheless and would be much more severe, you dont lose anything for not hitting the timer in a m+ but if your guild cant beat the boss before the enrage every progress is lost.
You liking the feature or not is another thing entirely.

Like everyting else in the game. You could say the same thing about loot, quests, anima, renown, honor, conq, valor and so on.

Same could be said about raiding or rated pvp.

Ok
but many dont see it as a vanity thing but a core feature.

its balanced up to 15s-18s then you want to do bigger pulls to save time since the “pack to pack” wont time keys, then youll start to feel the sting of cap aoe and thats just in the normal ppl playstyle, in the pro scene no target cap class was taken for their dps just look at the past mdi there was mage (uncap aoe) hunter (7 targets and misdirect) and the token support class monk(to buff the hunter and for ring) shadow priest(to buff the mage or holy pally), in the past any group could attempt big pulls and fun stuff like that now you have to use those uncap classes if you want this, i remember my team doing high waycrest manor and wanted to try the full room pull to the pig boss since we saw it in mdi so we did and were succesfull with our comp that was totally different to the mdi one things like that now cant be done by any comp and its just unfun

sqrt aoe cap is worse than 20 target soft cap and probably worse than 8 target hard cap tbh

So what only balance druids and fire mages are allowed to cleave now and that’s OK? how about no.

How.

About.

No.

I’m fairly certain that cleave is not limited to just those specs/classes.
