Remembrance Day - Tirisfal and Darkshore (Complete)

The Duskwatch Saberguard invites all members of Alliance and Horde to two special events spread over two nights, May 27th & May 28th at 5:00 server:

Remembrance Day.

A day when all factions lay down their arms to pick up wreaths or personal items and lay them at the graves of the fallen.

A day when knights remove their helms to bow their heads in a moment of silence for those that fell in the line of duty.

A day when we honor and salute those that still march into battle and risk their lives to defend and protect.

Join us as we gather at both Tirisfal and Darkshore to have a Memorial Day ceremony to remember all those lost in the fighting in the Battle of Lordaeron and the War of Thorns.

Remembrance Day is a modest event meant to honor those that fell in the service of the Horde or the Alliance. Therefore the events themselves will be ones of utmost respect and honor.

Everyone is asked to be on their best behaviors and respect all those that attend, keep your weapons and notions of battle for when you meet on a different battlefield. This is a battlefield of remembering and honoring.

Tonight’s schedule:

5:00 - Parade of Colors
(We will be meeting just inside the gates of the Silverpine/Tirisfal border and riding together in a parade to the ‘safe zone’ created outside of Undercity. You will need to be in the BfA phase with the ruins.)

5:15 - Opening Remarks

5:25 - Guest Speakers
(Anyone that wishes to speak will be allowed to give a speech or retell their experiences. Be mindful of time when giving your speech and try to stick to around a 15 minute or less story.)

6:30 - Poetry Reading

6:40 - Moment of Silence

6:45 - Wreath Ceremony
(Wreaths, flags, flowers, momentos, personal items, etc will be laid before the fireline. Bring an IC item to describe and lay out in remembrance.)

7:10 - Closing Remarks

(Times are subject to change depending on speakers/stories, etc. Please keep OOC chatter to a minimum during the event. )

Just a reminder, this is a current Undercity timeline.

You will need to have started BfA in order to see current UC.

It just requires starting the expansion, getting through the opening stuff that gives you that first achievement in either Zuldazar or Boralus. Chromie time doesn’t work.

Members of the Horde and Alliance met in Tirisfal. Together they rode as a parade of colors to the fireline and ruins outside of Undercity.

Speeches were given, stories were told and those lost in the Battle of Lordaeron were remembered by all those that gathered.

After members of the group shared their memories, Priestess Liastae Bris’etoile recited a poem written a poet that had born witness to a horrible war long ago. The suffering and loss of life stirred him to write a moving ode to those that fell. It was tradition to read this poem on Remembrance Day and the group continued that tradition.

After the poem, the group shared a moment of silence for those that had fallen. Then they placed wreaths, flags, flowers and other personal items at the fireline in memory of those that did not leave the battlefield.

We’ll see you tomorrow night (Saturday) for Remembrance Day in Darkshore!

Come out to honor and respect all those that fell during the War of Thorns.

Tonight we are meeting for a Remembrance Day ceremony in Darkshore. The location is marked in Red on this map.

We will be in the Pre-BfA Darkshore, not the BfA version. To switch over, the timekeeper is marked in Blue.

Bring inky blacks if desired for extra ambiance.

See you all tonight!

We will be meeting in 45 minutes for Darkshore’s Remembrance Day!

Remembrance Day - Darkshore

Members of the Alliance and Horde met in Darkshore to hold a Memorial Day ceremony for all those that fell during the War of Thorns. Outside of Lor’danel and on the coast, the group gathered to pay their respects.

After opening remarks, Priestess Lyastei Starbreeze led the group in a prayer to Elune who shined down upon the group as they held their vigil.

Loviattar then opened up the floor for all those that wished to speak. Many heartfelt words were spoken, many of them showing hope for peace and rebuilding. A poem was read, a moment of silence for the fallen had.

After the speakers and as the night grew late, rice cakes and tokens were laid around the base of a tree on Darkshore’s shore while Snowy recited the Lament for Teldrassil. With Teldrassil watching over them, the group paid their respects with bowed head and on bended knee.
