And that those wanting it were lazy for not wanting to grind the same reps over and over for every character?
Funny how everyone loves accountwide reps nowadays and wants the rest to follow suit.

I donât remember anyone saying that. The posts I read were all for it.
Personally, I am continually annoyed by having characters who have never been to the Dragon Isles be told âyou have earned this!â when they havenât. And I havenât earned it playing that character.
I so wish Warbands were optional so I could opt-out. I cannot understand why Blizzard is forcing this on everyone. What exactly is in it for Blizzard?
There was probably a handful but there will always be a handful of people. Weird thing to meditate over.
The people who were saying that were obviously a vocal minority. Rep isnât that important in modern wow, itâs completely skippable crazy that anyone would actually have that stance.
You must not have been around that time. Plenty were against account wide rep.
nobody has ever said this ever
You are clearly mistaken or just werenât around.
Actually, I know you. You were one of those against accountwide rep.
Are these people in the room with you right now?
People have been asking for account wide rep since day one.
There is always that 1 doctor/dentist. One day, weâll figure out who it is!
This. Same as the contrarians who agreed with the war on flying despite not once asking for its removal beforehand. People will always take the chance to be obstructionist trolls over objectively good things, especially in real life politics.
People were staunchly against Titanforging existing also, even though the removal of it has prompted a demand for Dinars and people just refuse to admit it. It takes a while for conclusions to happen, even if you have tons of information.
âWe want Dinars, we dunno why, but we do, we dunno what we had eitherâ
Donât forget-
âStop crying, our 3% damage buff isnât a big deal.â
(It gets rolled back)
âYouâve literally killed the class! F- tier! We will never be taken to raids again!â
Donât remember a single person ever saying account wide rep was a bad thing.
i know the void whispers and all but trust me, not even they are talking to this guy
game ruined.
No?
I donât remember anyone having ever said that. If I were to theorize what someone could have said is that the human racial would be utterly bonkers and prevent that from happening. But thatâs about it.
⌠precisely none of this is even remotely analogous. Systems like Titanforging and Warforging is the thing that created the âLess than 2 minute speedrun Maw of Soulsâ-strategy, because it made more sense to do Maw of Souls in under 2 minutes 500 times, than to play the game at any higher levels of difficulty.
Account wide reputation is only something one can theorize having a negative impact in the extremely niche case of humans getting to keep their reputation racial. But they didnât, so that niche situation didnât even take place.
We know systems like War- and Titanforging were awful for the game overall, and had nothing to do with Dinars. As that system in turn was all about deterministic gear at the end of a season when hyper-min-maxing was done mostly as a fun thing as opposed to a serious thing.
People are weird, as per usual, on the forums today.
No
Well, in a way warbound reputations killed my motivation to play alts and consequently I play WoW much less than before, I just get bored of wow very fast.
I always saw alts as separate characters, not extension of my main and I liked earning reputation on each alt separately.
Same with questing, it is just not the same with warbound quests.
To be real, some people donât give 2 craps about the rep part of the whole Warbound world, they only care about the WuE gear.
Blizzard will never be able to do Warbound stuff right until they get over the WF and E Sport pandering, which is the inherent problem with it.
If WuE gear is too good, the sweats will exploit it, which is why WuE gear hasnât mattered in the grand scheme of things. Yeah it helps on some random alt, but no one is sure if they are playing that alt if they need WuE gear in the first place.
