Says the guy fully decked out in M0 gear.
Upgrades at all levels need to result in a relative increase in power. If it doesnât the system is fundamentally broken.
Yeah, scaling, go anywhere at any time, do what you want, whatever⌠not at the cost of the underlying thesis of the game. Also, given the fact that SL was funneled down a 100% linear path? ⌠this reeks of demanding to have cake AND eat it too.
Ultimately, trying to retrofit WoW to a scaling system was a mistake.
Iâm fine with ilvl scaling as long as it doesnât outpace gearing differences. That way you slowly get stronger, but stuff doesnât become totally trivial.
Uh, yes, I remember a few months ago. Late in BfA it was a massive gap between a geared character in outdoor content vs. an ungeared character in the same content. The reason you donât feel more powerful now compared to a week ago is because the expansion is still brand-new and youâre dipping your toes into the gear system thatâs going to play out over the next two years.
Yeah. Thatâs the point of the thread.
âRemember when getting gear makes you feel stronger?â
Gear made him stronger, shocker. I feel stronger too.
I donât feel strong at all until I am catch up gear a patch or two in. Then I feel like the super infused powerhouse I want to be and I love it. I can run wild through the world and smash things for fun and even let them hit me a few times as I laugh maniacally at them. Stupid pixels, I say to them as I smush them left and right with no consequence. Such beautiful moments only demigods such as myself can enjoy are glorious. Until that day I wait and whine and complain on the forums until I am handed free ilevel 300 gear to smash these sad beings.
