If you are referring to Kuafon, they already can (IIRC), you just need to be Horde to do the quest line. The other Pterodax mounts are rep bound I believe?

I believe that the winged aqir mount is using the honey bee animations. 
if i sat on a bee, it wouldn’t get off the ground.

I play mostly Alliance, but I agree that keeping the bee mount Ally only is ridiculous.

bees, and other insects actually lift well above there body weight.
if we look at the size of the bee mount… it could probably lift a elephant no issue.
Actually there’s some real world ratio thing I forget the term but essentially it relates to the fact that if you just scaled up an insect like an ant or bee etc, their abilities wouldn’t scale like that. Rather they would simply die because of the way their bodies are evolved. I don’t remember the specifics but…yea.
