Only took a month and the Blizzard devs literally watching in real time how annoying it was to deal with during raiding. I made a post about this weeks ago and it was one of many but it went unheeded until now. This just highlights how the devs completely ignore valid feedback unless it’s coming from the streamer crowd. Really disappointing to have this confirmed yet again.

I low key hate certain streamers for this reason. Frankly I think pre heat is useless for the mage class as he will only cares about the spec/ hero talents he’s playing. No voice for any of the other mage players

i know you arc mages are happy, but this just puts the gap between sunfury and other specs further from equal.
I want arcane mages to do well. god knows they deserve it. But not at the expense of the other two specs.

Well not really, this was more of a QoL change, one that was long overdue.
Arcane definitely deserved some love after being neglected for so long but frankly it’s not really the baseline spec that’s suddenly great it’s just that Sunfury was the only fully developed hero spec and also happens to put out the numbers as well. I feel like Frostfire is almost there too (particularly for Frost) but just needs some numbers tuning. Spellslinger on the other hand needs Jesus. From what I see the only reason it’s seeing any play is because the folks who like the spec color palettes to be pure have no other option since the other two hero talent trees are both mixed element.
But when it comes to the actual base specs and their talent trees, they all need major overhauls, Fire most urgently.
TL;DR: It’s not one spec performing better at the expense of the others it’s just that Sunfury is the only hero talent tree that performs well and because Fire is in shambles that only leaves Arcane as a viable choice, but the Arcane talent tree has just as many problems as the other two.
Agreed, I do want to play spellslinger because I think the arcane splinters look cool asf. But I can’t get over how much of a mess the hero tree is. Sunfury is just so beyond it, not to mention you literally never don’t have full arcane charges as sunfury and spellslinger you often are relying on rng for damage. Idk it feels bad.
I love Frostfire and I wish they would just boost the single target damage.
Especially with the 4 piece set bonus, it feels so smooth to play and ABarr becomes a substantially bigger part of your ST rotation which also feels great. They need to make that 4 piece set a talent again like they did with Aether Attunement.
P.S. I love The Dragon Prince and can’t wait to see what you get up to in the next season now that you were freed from your magical prison.
