Then you’re going to be buying from legit players and prices will be higher than ever before.
Either bots ruin the economy for the entire region or they bot something else and prices skyrocket.
I don’t think we’re going to get a net positive for the game out of this without sweeping changes to the AH itself.

I agree, the ah needs a big fix.
Seems like this will overall be good IMO.
Bigger server groups should stay generally the same as they tend to have lower prices anyway due to competition. People Smaller servers will definitely see lower prices than usual along with an increase in demand that is likely to come with that.
Will also help the circulation of older mats, that is a rather niche market already but you better believe the people hunting things like Thunderfury mats will have more to choose from. Along with that, the prices of niche mats might seem an increase as there are more potential buyers for an already limited market.
This will certainly hurt sellers some but personally that’s fine by me. Sellers negatively effected by this probably already had grossly increased prices due to little competition. Im more pro consumer though so I’m a bit more biased against sellers who try to gouge prices.
As far as I’m aware this was already the case.
For the pure AH mogul players I have heard some cornering multiple server markets of a particular commodity because they could. Hopefully this makes our AH overlords clash more and keep prices from getting too high on some items but still keeping them and a good price to sell.
It’s amazing for people who buy gold with their credit cards and are stuck on low-pop realms. It’s really bad for everyone else. They will need to adjust the prices of gold-bought mounts in the game to accommodate the fact that people will be making almost no gold anymore.
Or it just gives them and people who deal in illicit gold selling even larger playgrounds to topple.

I want people to think outside of the box and innovate. People who work minimum wage jobs in a video game are the worst type.
If they’re having fun, that’s the only thing that matters. No one forces anyone to go make several dedicated crafting and gathering toons to maximize their virtual wealth.

For someone like me who lists commodities once or twice a day on average it is going to really hurt.
I don’t price fix, or buy and relist. I just sell stuff I get in the course of playing my characters via gathering, missions and the bonus satchels from soulbinds currently.
I already struggle to sell against the bots, goblins and people who still don’t know that the AH is a LIFO(last in, first out) system and continually undercut by anywhere from 1c-1g on commodities.
I’ve already got stacks of stuff coming back to me regularly, no way I can keep up with an entire region of this.
If making gold becomes too big of a hassle I’m not sure what the future of WoW will look like for me.

Most people trying to make a token through gathering aren’t having fun.
Learn to flip raid items. You be making multiple tokens an hour once you understand what’s going on.
Do what I do with gathering. Do it about half an hour before bed time. It helps a person get sleepy. Stock pile all those and sell it on a Tues or Wed whenever they are up.
