OP, do what you feel is best for you, just take into account some of the precautions folks posted.
Perl brought up some good points, and your account could very well be locked for a period of time while this gets worked out.

I guess itâs a different toon? Seems like youâve got a few gm pieces judging by your character portrait
Australia sounds like a communist reservation. Have fun suing blizzard I guess lol
Good. Refund your boost. We need less of them
It âcanâ have a negative effect on your credit score in the same way checking your credit score can have a negative effect.
If he feels that he payed for a service that he was lied to about, or otherwise feels misled, he is more than welcome and encouraged to exercise his consumer rights and file a dispute through his credit card company.
For you to even say this, and imply it would have long term ramifications, reads a lot like trying to scare people into not using the very limited protections afforded to them in our lackluster financial system.
You should be ashamed.
Wrong, law overrules blizz lol
Really cus I refunded my boost cus I thought the payshunter was way too big and my credits fine lol. Scare tactics nonsense how is this guy a green text mvp
Sure he can. But since what was paid for had nothing at all to do with why they want to get a refund, thereâs not a lot that will likely be done. I totally get that people are not happy with lag. 100% get that. But that actually doesnât have anything to do with the boost. The boost didnât have anything to do with that.
I wasnât referring to a refund. I was talking about a credit card chargeback. Theyâre very different.
This is incorrect. In most cases (unless you have a terrible credit score or a history of fraudulent charge backs) the CC company will reverse the charge without question. Especially since the boost isnât particularly expensive.
Also, requesting a charge back has nothing to do with a credit score. It is a request made to your CC company for review and it is at their discretion to issue it.
TL;DR: Donât believe a post just because it has a different color text.
Blizzard can close your account for any reason or no reason at all.
You said they couldâŚ
Youâre probably correct, but thatâs not something you or I can comment about. Iâm not blizzardâs lawyer and neither are you. When VISA reaches out to Blizz and says this customer wants a refund due to X reason, Blizz can either choose to respond or VISA will automatically proceed with the refund.
I donât care about the efficacy of his claim, I just dislike it when armchair lawyers pretend they have any clue what constitutes a valid claim, and then proceeds to give legal advice on forums.
Donât do that.
*slurpâŚ
If I refund my boost will they just delete the druid I boosted, or will they block my entire account?
All Iâve done is boost it, do the initial quests with your trainer and thatâs it. Havenât moved gold or anything.
Thatâs entirely up to Blizz and no one here can give you an answer that would have any predictive power.
In the past Iâve seen them block entire accounts though, as opposed to just locking characters.
o.O
Where did I provide legal advice? I said that I wouldnât recommend a chargeback. I stand behind that as, in my opinion, itâs asking for a chargeback on a boost that has nothing to do with the actual reason theyâre unhappy.
If anything, they should cancel their subscription. The boost, whether the Dark Portal Pass or the Deluxe edition, has nothing to do with the lag being experienced. Theyâre two totally different things.
But yes, if they want to try a chargeback, they can certainly do so. I donât think itâll turn out the way some people might think it will though.
Best of luck either way OP.

Post on your classic toon. If you were actually pvping you wouldnât be talking sh*t
Hahahaha companies donât make consumer laws.
Buying a boost instead of just leveling when you were given 2 weeks, lol
You have only yourself to blame.
2 weeks⌠yeah who doesnât have 10 hours a day to play wow⌠moron
