Refunded Shadowlands, screw Pathfinder

If you can’t stand not flying, what are you doing playing classic?

So what’s wrong with world quests? So you have some chores to do in this game, what else is new.

The classes are going to see changes going into Shadowlands, just not complete overhauls like Legion did–which Legion was the only expansion to ever do that.

Iterative rather than transformative changes, like every other expansion.

Is not an issue in Shadowlands based off of what we know.

Would you rather keep BFA’s systems?

That’s generous. Blizzard’s writing is far below even that standard.

To be fair. Even if we say flying is bad for the game; it’s still true that pathfinder is dumb.

At the very least, most people will probably agree that the time-gated rep grindy aspect of pathfinder is over the top. I personally wouldn’t mind if it was just about completing the main stories of the expansion, and reaching whatever patch Blizzard deems the flying unlock patch.

Fairness has nothing to do with it. He said he won’t play because he can’t fly. But yet he plays Classic.

I’m not sure exactly what you were replying to. I think people conflate pathfinder and “can’t fly” when the problems with pathfinder are more about the implementation.

If you could finish pathfinder in a day or two, i think people would complain much less.

I’ll never understand the massive sense of entitlement some fans have over their flying.

Like, it’s not bad gameplay or a stupid story that gets them to quit, no, it’s the fact that being grounded is apparently too hard and inconvenient for them.

I mean, flight paths still exist, use them.

People keep making this argument… it doesn’t make sense. There is nothing dangerous in the world. Flying does not avoid any danger, at all, none, zero.

I suspect it’s because mounts are so important to players. Blizzard has even sold flying mounts on the shop, making it feel bad when they restrict them to ground use only.

I don’t personally share this opinion, but it does seem like Blizzard has actively dug a hole for themselves and continued to dig it deeper with this strange bait and switch around flying.

Why people care in the first place is still a mystery to me, but it seems apparent that this is something that motivates mount sales, as well as complaint threads on forums.

Have fun paying your hard earned money to do chores. I’m above that.

No you’re not. You got to level 120 by doing chores. And you’ll keep doing your chores as longs as you keep playing WoW. Now go clean your room.

I haven’t purchased Shadowlands. So by your own logic I’ve decided against doing chores again.

You’ll be back. They all come back.

Well that depends! If World Quests are the only way to get reputation and they think I’m going to do World Quests / Dailies for another 2 years at my own expense I’ll gladly give my money to GGG instead.

Grinding Gear Games = Path of Exile. Have you seen the news on PoE 2? It looks amazing. That’s something I’ll gladly support.

Flying always took work to achieve. It wasn’t just given out. Pathfinder is not content. It is nontent designed to keep you paying while giving you zero in return. I will probably just stay in classic if pathfinder is in the new xpac. The last two expansions were dreadful. They should give us original flying as a reward for being loyal customers 2.5 horrible expansions.
